In an advanced society such as Canada, with the exorbitant amount we pay in taxes. I expect when I go to a destination that requires me to check in online, for that place to have working toilets. Numerous people approached a building looking like the bathroom (labelled online as second beach toilets) only to turn away in discontent and walk hurriedly to use the plastic poop caskets placed in a parking lot. The smells of gasoline and excrement mixed with heat permeating all over, yum! with all manor of car and human traffic around. Plastic bollards shielding said series of caskets . It felt unsafe. I left this park no sooner than I arrived. Lovely to spread disease and leave some sanitizer. Majority of the lot was empty and sectioned off. The four kids standing at the entrance only stare at your QR code for a second. They seem to not want people to be in nature. Extra points for beauty and the drive up.

Summer is our happiest and most exciting time. We have planned many awesome outdoor activities. Yesterday we went to Golden Ear Provincial Park and have a fantastic weekend with family and friends. It was rainy while we were paddling and fishing in the Alouette Lake, but the view was really amazing, and the water was so green, likes a huge diamond. Fortunately, it cleared up soon. Then, we set up our tent at the south beach picnic area that was not busy, playing cards, chatting and listening to music. There were more than 50 geese around the place. Various birds sang lovely songs freely and never feel boring. In the evening, we enjoyed the delicious BBQ and beautiful scenery. Love such a wonderful day!

This is the perfect spot for families in Golden Ears. Make sure to get your Day-Use park online. The place can get very busy over summer weekends so the earlier you get here, the easier you’ll find a spot.

What a beautiful lake it has a nice and clear beach that you can swim and also it has benches for family gatherings and good place for BBQ

Back country is always good, you need a boat to cross the lake, it is fcfs but people are super friendly and it is not as policed as the regular camp ground.
