Great campground, clean, had a picnic table and a fire pit with half a grill on top, bathrooms near by with running water, toilets that flush & shower. Behind the washrooms is an area to wash dishes. Walking distance to the lake. Feels safe.

Stayed here from Aug 29 until Aug 30, 2024. Beautiful scenery, northern lights, friendly squirrels, toads, etc. The whole stay was overshadowed, though, by a loud birthday party down near the beach or group camping area. Loud music that reverberated through the whole campground. Screams and yelling and what sounded like drag racing in the parking lot from around 10pm until 3am. We contacted National Park Dispatch and complained, as did at least 3 other campsites, about the noise. Quiet time starts at 11pm. Nothing. No enforcement, whatsoever. I won't stay here ever again. Completely ruined our family camping trip.

R/V campground was a parking lot with a picnic table for each camper with no privacy- as stated in the online reservation process. Poor value for $35 plus park permit, compared with provincial campgrounds. Good trails in the area, excellent wildlife viewing.

I was expecting, as I should, to camp in nature. What I got was a party in the park loud enough for the campers to hear as if they where at the party. The party ramped up including loud music at about 3 pm and went to past 9 only to continue on and off until the wee hours. It culminated at 3 am with a crazy loud car pumping out even louder tunes. In the campground, one of my neighbors figures a clear campsite means hiding the cooler, stove and food box behind the tent whilst they are away. Good for them for tricking the wildlife. Their radio kept the wildlife away later in the evening. I had to visit another neighbor at 2 am to ask them to shut down the 4 way conversation and tunes. The snoring and coughing are small bits but should be mentioned. The good news? There was so much noise in the campground that I could not hear the generators. To be transparent, I have stayed here before and enjoyed it. It was in April, not July. Maybe a Sunday in July is the culprit. Notwithstanding, why have rules if they are not kept? July or otherwise. I did enjoy the clean showers and dry firewood.

Clean camp ground with shade, clean and nice bathrooms and showers with easy access to them all, even have handicap ones you can drive up too. Lot's of wild life both on the water and land. Saw many beautiful variations of butterflies, some black bunnies, et. The beautiful sound of the birds both in the water and around campsites is lovely to sit back and just listen too. A lot of day use areas with a really nice updated playground. Family and pet friendly, just have to make sure there is no blue/green algea in the water as it can be deadly to your pet. Beautiful to kayak. We had our own but I saw a sign that said they rent, although with covid I don't believe that was an option this summer. Also when covid is not an issue the gulf club has a place you can eat that's close by, otherwise your looking at almost a half hour drive to get to anywhere to eat.
