Hosts Solita and Burke are the best. Fantastic service. We enjoyed our experience, including meeting Bella, who guarded the property and us, like a co-host. The dark sky/night stars from our tent was amazing. Having our meal kits locally sourced and/or grown on the property made the whole thing special. If you haven’t stayed here before you can’t go wrong at Bear Spring.

This place is even better than advertised! Solita and Burke, the owners, have made a wonderful home away from home. They are incredible hosts and have put so much thought and care into building this resort. When we arrived we had a flat tire and they immediately made sure we had access to air so that we could get our car to town the next day. Also the guard dog Bella is such a treat to have around. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come stay again someday.

Would go back here in a heartbeat for some luxury glamping. Beautiful spot, excellent hosts, good amenities and an amazing guard hound who protects the property all day and night from unwanted critters (bear, cougar etc.) and is very effective! We ordered a couple of the meal packs and they were fresh and delicious. Solita and Burke were responsive but not intrusive hosts who are rightfully proud of their business. If you want somewhere a little different to stay a short drive outside Nelson, this is the place!

Amazing place! The setting is so beautiful and the tents so cozy. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen comes with everything you need to make your meals, and the hosts are so friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

Solita and Burke are fabulous hosts. They are available , from the start, to answer any questions about the area and their beautiful mountainside. Bella is a joy to be around and has the most comforting bark. Solita made sure we were comfortable and safe and helped guide us up the nearby mountain for a fantastic view of the valley. Meal kits were just right and made it easy to plan our dining experience. Enjoy!!
