We have been camping for years at Beaver Flat. The sites are well treed and are private. The public washrooms are very well maintained. I would say the most clean out houses i have experienced. This leads into the site hosts who are always so friendly and accommodating. Nothing but amazing ! Hard workers. We have been there when there have been some 'challenging' groups and have seen only professionalism from the hosts. We have decided this is our favorite camping spot in the mountains because of the hosts and the family-friendly environment 😀

We chose Beaver Flats campground online for its location, proximity to hiking trails, and the number of positive reviews. It was a last minute, hurried decision and one of the best I've ever made. We'd never been camping in the area before, and had no idea what we were getting into in terms of area, campsite, etc. We were more than pleased with the campsite. It was clean, beautifully maintained, in a lovely location, and right on the river. The sites and the bathrooms were pristine and 11-7 are quiet hours, which made an undisturbed night's sleep both easy and a joy. Everyone we spoke to sang the praises of the place and the excellent hosts and we have to agree. It's in a great location as well for hiking, seeing Elbow Falls, and just having a lovely base camp from which to explore. The hosts were amazing, and not only well-informed about the area, but on top of things like detecting and putting out a campfire left burning (which happened in a site next to ours) and very pleasant and hard-working people. We told them that we were new to the area, and they let us know about everything from the nearest local store to the ratings on nearby hiking trails, and all the regulations for the campsite and the area. They travel through the campsite regularly, and always have a friendly word or a wave as they keep on top of requests for firewood and cleaning tasks. They do an amazing job. I've seen a few negative reviews about the hosts, but I want to state that we saw them deal with several rules violations and they were polite but to the point, very clear as to why the rules are in place, and very firm as to the fact that the rules had to be followed. Given the campfire left burning and how swift they were to deal with it (and left a note explaining why the fire was put out, though the family was gone for hours before coming back) I think some of these complaints are from campers who are not used to having to deal with the consequences of breaking some very basic and clearly posted rules of safety and camping etiquette, and especially not used to having these infractions brought directly to their attention as something in need of immediate correction. I, for one, feel much safer in a campsite where the rules are observed and enforced. A++ will definitely camp here again, as often as possible.

Sharon and Bruce are fantastic! Always friendly and easy to talk with. They keep the campground clean and safe! Not afraid to let campers who are being disruptive to tone it down. Great for family's and a quiet place to escape from the city! Love the campground and Sharon and Bruce!

Beaver Flat Campground in Kanaskis Country is a jewel. The washrooms are the cleanest in the valley. Who hangs flower pots on out houses? Beaver Flat does! Being on the river is the jewel, but to be fair most of the sites are well treed, thus fairly private. The sites are always very clean and tidy. And yes, there are several cool beaver dams to see. I made the mistake of looking at the reviews... You gotta know the negative reviews are likely the problem sites we all hate to be next to. They're kind of sad, as they are, from my experiences completely wrong. Beaver Flat and the staff are perfect. When we need wood etc., the hosts are beyond polite, very personable, in fact they add to the terrific experience. I highly recommend camping there, so quiet and breathtakingly beautiful.
