What to Consider
- Cost and Value: Some guests have found the fees to be on the higher side, especially for short stays like tent camping, which seems costly. Budget accordingly or look for deals for longer stays or group bookings.
- Payment Methods: It's important to carry cash as credit card facilities might not be available. An ATM on-site could ease this inconvenience for visitors.
- Facility Maintenance: There are concerns about the maintenance of facilities, including cleanliness issues in bathrooms and shower areas. Ensure you're prepared for basic conditions and consider bringing your own sanitary supplies.
- Camping Environment: Be ready for potential weather-related challenges, particularly wet grounds or high mosquito activity during certain seasons.
Overall Thoughts
Bee Happy Family Campground provides a rustic camping experience focused on community and fellowship. While it may not have all the modern amenities some campers expect, it seems to be a welcoming space for those looking to reconnect with the traditional spirit of camping. Before visiting, assess your needs against the camp's offerings, ensuring expectations align with the authentic, old-style experience this campground provides.

The one star is for the lady in the reception. She was very kind. We paid $90 for a night, which is very expensive! The facilities are outdated, the toilets and showers are downright dirty, and there is no maintenance. The wifi is worthless. A sad affair. When we approached the owner about our dissatisfaction, he shrugged his shoulders. He thought it was nonsense. We recommend: do not stay here!

My only problem is that they didn't accept card but also a bonus because cash is less easily tracked. Still, they need an atm over there to make life a bit easier. The fees are also high, but I won't complain because I asked on short notice

I came to just tent camp for the night. I don’t camp but found this costly and not at all nice. It was 80$ to pitch my 2 man tent (myself and 2 small children). I thought camping was circular plots with some trees between each.. but haven’t been in years. This they sent me over to one large clearing where 6+ groups could camp, all facing each other. The ground was soaking wet you couldn’t even walk through it (in late July) and there was garbage and bottles in the fire pits and around the picnic tables. One RV parked on one side. We found a dry enough corner but even had to walk in water to get stuff out of the car. So mosquito infested we couldn’t even get out of the tent in the morning, and we’re all bit up from only being out to roast marshmallows. Thank goodness it was a Tuesday and we were the only ones or we would have dealt with other groups noise and looking at as. We rolled the tent and left soon as we woke because it wasn’t worth getting eaten and too wet to even put the tent in its case. The one good item was the lady was super nice. Really liked her. But not worth 80$ and not a pleasant experience otherwise. Maybe it’s more of an RV park. At least I fulfilled my 5 yo request to ‘camp’.. and it’s done now. I don’t think he’ll be asking to do it again.

Love the people here! It's like a community. Also, it has that old style camp life feel. Events every weekend and everyone is welcomed.

Thoroughly enjoy spending time at this campground. There is a strong sense of community among neighbours and the nights are quiet. Convenient location to be close to Barrie but far enough away that the city stresses aren’t as obvious. Nice pool, mini put and a really nice park for the kids.
