We visited Birds Hill Provincial Park in September of 2023, and it was a wonderful experience! The fall colors were starting to show, and the scenery was breathtaking. The weather was mild and sunny, with a crispness in the air that was perfect for hiking and outdoor activities. The park was relatively quiet, making it easy to connect with nature and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The trails were well-maintained and offered varying levels of difficulty, suitable for both casual walkers and avid hikers. The park's scenic drives and picnic areas were also lovely, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the views. The fall wildflowers were still in bloom, adding a splash of color to the already beautiful landscape. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Birds Hill Provincial Park in September. Wonderful day in the beauty of the park. One suggestion would be more signs along the roads to show where things are, how to get to here.. etc. Beautifully looked after. Loved it.

This is a great place for an accessible adventure. There are at least 3 accessible trails that have been paved, two of which we've tried; Bur Oak (1km), Lakeview (7kms). There is also an accessible pathway down to the water at the lake. It is a rubber mat that goes over the sand. If you are in a push wheelchair, Bur Oak could be challenging because it has cracks and bumps in some places, but the Lakeview trail is smooth for sure. You don't have to do the full 7kms, you could easily shorten it to just around the beach. If you're in a motorized chair or scooter, you should be totally fine. The paths leading to the beach are all paved. I would recommend parking at the East Beach parking lot because it is closer to the beach.
