Important Tips and Considerations
- Friendly Front Desk: The staff are known for being very helpful and friendly, providing all necessary information upon arrival.
- Camping Spots: Some sites, like T23, can accommodate multiple cars and tents, offering ample space for group camping.
- Proximity to Restrooms: Certain sites are conveniently located near restrooms, ensuring easy access, though they may attract more mosquitoes.
- Shower Facilities: Showers require coins ($1 for five minutes), so it's wise to have some coins on hand to avoid nighttime searches.
- Quiet Days: Midweek days like Mondays and Tuesdays tend to be quieter, providing a more peaceful camping experience.
- Firewood Purchase: Firewood is sold by the golf cart load ($25), which may differ from the usual bag price of $10.
- Inclination for RVs and Trailers: Some sites are on septic beds, making them more suitable for tents than RVs or trailers.
Overall Thoughts
Calabogie Lakeside Camping & RV Resort offers a welcoming atmosphere and well-spaced sites for tents and RVs alike. While the coin-operated showers and firewood pricing might pose slight inconveniences, the cleanliness and friendly staff more than make up for it. With its peaceful environment, it's a great destination for both short and extended stays.

Highly recommend this campsite. The front desk staff were very friendly and explained everything we needed to know. If you have an off-road vehicle with high ground clearance, you can drive into any campsite. We went to T23, which can accommodate at least three cars and five tents! It's also very close to the restroom. There are a lot of mosquitoes at the campsite, which is unavoidable. The only downside is that the shower requires coins, and we had to search our car for coins at night when we wanted to shower. The shower costs $1 for five minutes.

Had a good camping trip, quiet on a monday/Tuesday. Perfect for a quick camping trip, not overpriced. Showers ate centrally located with bathrooms, and not too busy. Got a tent site off the beaten path so we couldn't park right on the site but we were fairly close, couldn't see cars though.

We booked site T1 for tent camping and happy with site and service. The site is big and next to the bathroom. It has electricity service from extension cord running from under the bathroom building. Apparently our site is on a septic bed hence why it's only for a tent while all the sites around it are for trailers and RVs. Was surprised that they sold the firewood by a golf cart load of $25 when we normally buy them in a bag of $10

Many bad experiences with the owner. Seems when he bought the place, he decided, anyone not keeping up with the Joneses has to go! Very money hungry and not honest to his word... and he will say whatever he has to in the moment to keep people happy.

Our family summer home, as we are seasonal campers. We are happy with our experiences.
