We visited for the sauna and restaurant/winery. Sauna was cool, but smaller than expected. Only 2 of us in the sauna, and the idea of 6 would have been way too packed! It was a good hot sauna though! The cold shower/rest/sauna rotation was great! Needed to call to ask if we were in the right location, as signage wasn’t too clear. Would be nice to have a change room closer. The winery was quaint and nice. Good snack options. The popcorn was really tasty! Well priced for our items. I’d recommend a drive out to see the place if you’ve never been, and are looking for something different to do.

An absolutely amazing place. The sunsets, views, river access, sauna, the accommodations many activities and the very friendly staff not to forget to mention the wines, coolers and food has brought me back to this campsite many times. Looking forward to coming back to watch the Sandhills crane migration this fall.

I love this place! I always try and stop for a few nights on my way through Saskatchewan enroute to British Columbia. We recently stayed for a few nights in the A-frame at the top of the hill. Amazing sunsets, and beautiful views of the South Saskatchewan river. So beautiful in fact that we enjoyed extra long coffees both mornings on the deck. This time we booked a sauna experience; it was soooo nice - at the end of the day. It was likely the hottest sauna I’ve ever taken (and I like saunas) and the glass window in the sauna which looked over the campground added to the overall experience. While, we were only two, the sauna could easily accommodate at least 4 people. Moreover, several chairs and an outdoor shower, allowed us to stay in the sauna for a longer period of time (did I say how much I love saunas?) We were especially fortunate this time as the evening sky provided us with a beautiful display of northern lights - which we viewed from the deck of our A-frame chalet. I live in Ottawa and rarely, if never, witness the northern lights so for me this was especially memorable - thank you Wolf Willow Campground for your dark sky 😁 We are planning to return in fall for the Sandhills Crane migration. We were there a few years ago, and it seems the Sandhills Cranes rest in the area for several weeks in mid to late September before continuing their journey south. So amazing… 😊. And….it is especially nice that I can come back at the end of the day and sleep in a proper bed, with a fireplace and a glass of wine from the Wolf Willow winery! Yay, what’s not to love about this place!
