Many of the reviews I have read are from people who are just camping for a very short time at this campground. The owners seem to be on their best behavior when the occasional weekend campers arrive but for the seasonal campers the experience is very different and this becomes apparent quickly. Initially the attraction to this campground was that it was small and that the owners were nice but the true reality soon changed within a few weeks. As a previous person pointed out the rules change weekly. I must first point out that there were no problem campers (ie. Drinking, being loud or being disrespectful to other campers) but everyone was always being reprimanded by management for the smallest and unrealistic reasons. This caused everyone to feel anxious and apprehensive and just waiting to see what they would be in trouble for. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds even on a leash but the free range chickens that are owned by the management are allowed to roam freely and allowed to nest under the seasonal campers trailers. The swimming is adequate but there is no real beach and the swimming area is small. Not really room for more than a few swimmers. Seasonal prices increase without notice and the electricity is not included in the seasonal charges. Electricity is charged separately to each camper. The water is not clear so can only be used for showering and the toilet. If you are a weekend camper this place might be ok for you …. As a seasonal camper I would not recommend.

I do agree with the other negative review Maybe ok for a for a weekend, however do to COVID-19, they are only taking seasonal campers. I payed 3000.00 for the season and Have been harassed since day one. They are really friendly initially, but as soon as you pay they give you a long set of rules and regulations, all in French, that is not my language. I had my RV delivered to the site only a week ago and as it happens the dealer did not include Proper sewage equipment or a long enough power cord. So hook up was late in the day and a little rushed. I was focused on setting up and It took 3 or 4 minutes to get the dog tied. In those few minutes he happened to pee near Or on a neighbours camp site, This has never happened since! They next day I was rudely reprimanded by management and told if it happened again I would be kicked out. What a nice? Welcoming. During this week I have not seen or met many campers, No one is kayaking or swimming or enjoying the grounds, It seems like a ghost town with every one hiding in their campers. One day kids were playing And in the water, but have not seen them again? Yesterday I was dropping off a thank you gift For the nice peps that let me borough their phone and was accosted by management wondering were I was going, told I was not Welcome and even assaulted and pushed by The male manager. I have no idea why. Was told I was not following the rules. In my opinion, DO NOT stay here, especially if you Have a dog 🐕 I received a letter This morning asking me to leave today! If not I was told they would keep my Entire payment. This seems totally illegal and a big scam. I’ve had no phone or internet as I was called by the owner before moving, not to sign up and that it would be available at a discounted rate the day after I moved in. No service no updates No place to stay. They did give one more option, to leave in 10 days with NO reimbursement! More threats as well, ... Happy Camping at “Camping Au bord de l’eau” Good for abuse and apparently kids??

This wonderful campground was more or less the start of our 1 year journey and it sets a highscore instantly. If you like small and more simple campgrounds, like us, you should go there. The owners are perfect hosts and we thank you for all your help with our new (old) motorhome. Milla, Kristin and Oliver
