Tips for a Better Stay

  • Choose Your Spot Wisely: Some guests have noted that the campsites near the water are smaller than expected. Opt for natural treed sites if possible for more space and privacy.
  • Bring Essentials: Visitors have recommended bringing a fully equipped rig if you plan to stay for a few days, as some amenities such as garbage disposal can be far from certain sites.

  • Check In Early: Checking in may take a bit longer, so plan to arrive early to avoid long waits.

Important Considerations

  • Bathroom Cleanliness: Some reviews indicate that bathrooms and showers may not be cleaned daily. Consider bringing your own sanitary supplies for a more comfortable stay.
  • Customer Service: Issues with customer service, including refunds and resolving complaints, have been mentioned by past guests. Make sure to confirm all details before booking to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Site Condition: Some facilities, such as picnic tables, may be in need of repair. It's advisable to check your allocated site thoroughly upon arrival and report any issues immediately.

Our stay at Lac St-augustin Chalet by the Lake was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the serene beauty of the location and the charming ambiance of the chalet itself. The Chalet was very cozy and clean I would strongly recommend, we wished if we could stay more and enjoy it, we’re definitely visiting again ! SH (;

This park is very nice but, different from what I expected, especially for the price. We booked a spot near the water, the sites were very small, I thought. The site had all 3 services, which was nice. The park had a lot of seasonal guests, a mixture of chalets, villas and all kinds of trailers. The park is very clean, which was also very nice. There are few natural treed aites, which I saw after we came here. I wouldve rather have one of them, if I knew. Its about 20 minutes to the city, the main reason we booked this site. Overall, good camp site, just not for us.

First the location work for us so no complaints there. Now the site 105 was ok but not much trees in the back and backing to someone yard. If we had a big rig it would have been very compact. The picnic table is rotten and had mushrooms growing on it. The only garbage site it at the entrance and is far if you don’t plan to get out every day. Don’t think you can swim in the lake that is a no go. Come with a full rig if you plan. Don’t plan on using the bathroom they are not cleaned (we were here 3 nights and they were never cleaned). Shower curtains are mildly and showers and toilettes are dirty. I get it people are gross and would never leave stuff like this at home , but this was not cleaned for at least 3 nights. We talked to someone that rented a cottage and it was filthy and they ended up cleaning it themselves. I suspect they only have one lady cleaning the cottage and bathrooms on site so that would do it, she would definitely not have time to do it all. This place needs caring and it hasn’t seen it in a while and it shows.

We didn't really know what an excellent campsite was until we stayed at another facility AFTER this one. Booking online was easy. Checking in took quite a bit of time, not sure why. Finding our campsite was not difficult. We were surprised to see that the faucet was not security connected to the stand pole making it difficult to turn with one hand and vulnerable to breakage/leakage. The picnic table was half rotten so it soaked up rain and was waterlogged (disgusting). The curtains in the washroom did not cover the opening. The last night we camped here it rained during the night, which were prepared for, but then it continued to rain all the next day with a forecast of rain throughout the night. We told the front desk that we would need to cancel our last night because of the rain and suggested they might want to offer a refund, which they rejected (which was their right). When we asked our next camping location if they could cancel our first night with they due to rain, they did not hesitate to grant our request.

Looking for a place to lie to you, steal your money, and then pin the entire thing as YOUR fault?! This is the place for you! I was promised and assured by a staff member that I would receive a full refund. I arrived to a site that was not large enough to fit my SUV and tent. A staff told me on the telephone that “the photos online look bigger than in-person, and since you booked online, this is actually not our problem, this is your fault.” Seriously?! You have a 24 hour cancellation policy, and yet I am still not refunded the second night that I did not stay, despite providing more than 24 hours notice. I arrived with my dogs, and as soon as they were visible in my “camp site”, the dog to the left, to the right, and across the road from my site started barking at us, two of them growling at us. I travelled 7 hours only to have to find a last minute accommodation elsewhere at 7pm on a Friday. ZERO customer service. I have sent 4 emails, all of which have been ignored. On the telephone today, I was told to send an email. I have already sent 4. This staff member made promises to me that if I had known were not true, I would have gone back and demanded to discuss with a manager in-person. You are either extremely hard-up for money, have terrible business sense, or truly do not care about your customers. This reflects poorly on you. Please give me the full refund I was promised. For completely inadequate site, for the growling dogs, for the 24 hours notice of the second nights cancellation, and to simply uphold what YOU AS A BUSINESS had PROMISED me. Someone needs to take accountability for their actions and quit telling me that this was MY fault.
