About This Campsite

Welcome to Camping Oceanic!

Camping Oceanic is a charming campsite known for its inviting facilities and a sense of community. Nestled in a location that is not only scenic but also convenient, it offers the feel of a resort with a variety of activities and amenities that cater to families and camping enthusiasts alike.

Visitors often enjoy the natural privacy provided by the tree-lined sites, and the mixture of seasonal and short-term campers adds to a welcoming atmosphere. The campsite facilities include a pool, playground, and a bouncy pillow, though it's wise to check their operational status before your visit. The campsite is also particularly appreciated for its cleanliness and the courteousness of its staff, alongside the well-maintained roads which ensure safe exploration.

Tips for an Enjoyable Stay:

  • Always confirm the availability of specific amenities like the pool or any special attractions, as these can sometimes be under maintenance or opening soon.
  • For guests with children, the slow traffic and attentiveness of drivers on-site create a safer space for outdoor play.
  • It’s a pet-friendly environment, so remember to keep pets on leashes to ensure everyone's comfort.

While most visitors leave enthusiastic about their experiences, there have been mentions of minor organizational hiccups, like the handling of access cards and site-specific regulations. Prospective visitors are encouraged to maintain open communication with staff to ensure clarity on policies and resolve any concerns promptly.

Overall, Camping Oceanic seems to be a delightful spot for those looking to relax and enjoy the camping lifestyle, particularly suitable for family gatherings. Whether you're a seasonal camper or just stopping by for a short term, the accommodations and community spirit can make for a memorable visit.

Pool and facilities are ok. Spent 6 days (departed on Sunday). Despite requesting a magnetic card multiple times daily, we never received one and got stuck outside a couple of times. And then got charged for not returning our card! Rude staff seemed to take more pride in harassing customers for minor stuff than doing their job. We booked four sites, all quiet families. One family left a day early and we parked our second vehicle (a small SUV) on their site (in front of ours) with their permission to facilitate packing. Staff threatened to tow the vehicle and evict us, despite our adherence to campground policy (max one RV and one car per site) and the fact that the site was already paid in full for the night and that we were leaving early the next day anyway. Front staff unhelpful and disorganized. Claimed they tried to call us multiple times, but none of our group members received a call. One kid from the staff was angry at us for not using the "right entrance" to get to the garbage dump section. Both entrances are not marked and complicated to find. Others from our group got the same rude speech. The sites were muddy and uneven, making it difficult for some customers to dump sewer water. The breaker kept tripping, and we had to find it ourselves on another campsite during the night.

Entranced and enchanted by Camping Oceanic. Has the feel of a resort with a spirit of community. As a Florida grandma who travels with her trailer in Canada and the US, this is the perfect spot to host/visit with my grandkids and family who live in the area. What I love about this place are the attractive sites (many with trees offering a delicious bit of privacy), its mix of seasonal and short-term visitors, the location (close to everything), the care by the staff and owner in maintaining to such high standards everything connected to Oceanic, the pool, playground, activities and the list goes on. In short I'm thrilled. A one-month stay has extended to two months and perhaps more.

We had a wonderful weekend camping at Oceanic! The campground is one of the nicest and well kept campgrounds we have been to. The lots were treed and private, the roads were paved, had speed bumps, and lots of signs. We noticed right away, how slow the cars travelled and how cautious all of their seasonal campers were. Windows down, watching for pedestrians- so nice when camping with young children. We enjoyed the pool, playground, new bouncy pillow and loved the live music they had on Saturday night. We would highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back!

Campground is well maintained. Don't expect privacy cause you're packed in. We knew that booking and it's fine because of the amenities for the kids. But......we specifically booked this campground for a couple reasons. 1) website advertised NEW bouncing pillow, it is not open. Looks like it's still probably a month out of opening. This was the huge draw as it's my boys favorite. VERY disappointed. 2) Checkout is at 11am and the pool opens at 10am. This means the kids can get a swim in while their dad gets the trailer ready and hitched. Keeps the kids happy and out of the way. Well, the pool was closed for maintenance. Not sure if this is an every Sunday thing or not. If it is it feels like a way to keep the weekender out before Checkout.

I’m new to seasonal camping, and so far have nothing but good things to say. The staff have been nothing but kind to me, and very helpful. All those complaining that they’re mean might want to evaluate how they interacted with the staff, as I can’t see any reason for any of the staff to be rude or mean unless treated as such by the guest. Enforcing rules is not rude or mean, it’s their job. The pool opens at 10am, and I’ve not had any issues with this. Sometimes it’s 10-15 mins late, but has always opened. It’s clean, large/spacious, and the temperature is nice. Lots of space to sit while the kids play. There is public restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. They are clean, in working order, and very well taken care of. I’m very impressed. They’re located a little everywhere, with one being right next to the park/pool/pickle ball courts/bouncy castle. The bouncy castle isn’t finished yet, most likely due to the record amount of garbage weather we’ve had this summer so far, but it’s definitely happening shortly. The park seems quite new, and is fairly impressive for a campground. It has swings, slides, tables etc. Very well maintained, very clean, all is in working order. They have events on weekends, but I haven’t attended any as of yet. They finish at 10pm, as to allow families to be back on their lots for the 11pm quiet time, which is a Shediac city bylaw. Most lots are divided by a small amount of trees, which adds privacy. I enjoy making fires at night, and BBQing. You have lots of liberties here. I love how spacious my lot is. It is very quiet at night, which is wonderful. It is a pet friendly campground, in which pets must be on a leash at all times when outside their lot. I do not have a pet. I feel very comfortable knowing I won’t be attacked, and you don’t ever hear dogs barking. Overall this campground is wonderful, and not at all like what the other reviews make it out to be. I am a single parent of two children. I highly recommend this campground for those who want to relax and enjoy the camping lifestyle.
