Reviews Summary

While many appreciate the clear and calm waters, the overall experience can be impacted by crowded conditions, especially on weekends. Here are some key points to consider:

  • Beach: The beach can get extremely crowded, especially on weekends. Arrive early to secure a good spot.
  • Water Depth: The water maintains a shallow depth for a considerable distance, which is great for kids but less so for those looking to swim.
  • Facilities: Facilities include small porta-potties and a well-maintained canteen offering delicious food. However, some reviews noted it as insufficient relative to the number of visitors.
  • Safety Concerns: A few reviews mentioned safety issues such as unattended structural steel near the playground.
  • Cleanliness: The site is generally well-maintained, with clean toilets and a well-kept beach area.

Overall Thoughts

Camping Plage Kirkland appears to be a mixed bag with both strengths and areas for improvement. Its primary appeals are its natural beauty, cleanliness, and family-friendly environment. However, it is recommended to avoid peak times, such as weekends, to fully enjoy what the site has to offer. Also, be mindful of the limited facilities and take necessary precautions, especially near play areas.

For a peaceful visit, consider planning on weekdays or non-peak periods. Additionally, bringing your own facilities, such as extra portable toilets and ensuring safety gear for children can enhance your visit.

The beach is very small and on a Saturday it was FULL. We had people within 2 feet of us in all directions, it was packed!! The water was ok a bit like OKA u need to walk a few hundred feet to get 4feet deep water. As for "facilities" u get two tiny porta potty... One nice thing I can say the city is pretty! Family of 4.. 30$ with the car! Probably won't go back on a weekend...

Very bad experience. The beach was small and very crowded. They had no limit to accept new clients and regardless of the small size of the beach, they still accepted the new ones. Near the children's playground, dangerous pieces of structural steel were lying on the ground, disregarding basic safety precautions. I was really surprised by this level of carelessness and irresponsibility.

Beautiful beach with clear, warm water. Though a bit pricey, I'll definitely be coming back! It is shallow for quite a distance, which made it great for the children. Us adults had to wade out far to swim. The sand is really dense so the kiddos had to work hard to use their sand toys. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

This beach is absolutely beautiful very calm and there is not much people around so it’s perfect if you’re looking to a quiet place the owner of the beach is also very friendly he helped us to find a table for our group. The beach is also very clean and the water is not too high so you can walk in the water for a long time beautiful landscape also
