About This Campsite

Camping Villa Des Sables

Camping Villa Des Sables promises a getaway right by the lake, with direct beach access that offers stunning views. It is a site filled with potential for a relaxing outdoor experience, although certain logistical challenges may affect visitors' enjoyment.

Highlights

  • Beautiful beach access with a designated section for dogs.
  • Friendly and welcoming staff.
  • Clean sanitary facilities available at no extra charge.

Considerations

  • Campers have noted that the individual plots are quite small and can be uneven.
  • Noise from nearby trains could be a disturbance, especially at night.
  • The campsite does not offer potable water; plan accordingly.
  • Firewood is available for purchase, providing logs sufficient for a small campfire.
  • Games and playgrounds for children have been noted as potentially unsafe, so parental supervision is important.
  • Price may feel steep, as views and location play into the cost.

Overall Thoughts

Camping Villa Des Sables is ideal for those looking to enjoy a beautiful lakeside setting with beach access. While the location and friendly staff are significant advantages, the small size of lodging plots and ambient noise may reduce the comfort of your stay. This campsite might be more suited for shorter stays or for those primarily seeking access to beach activities.

Nice welcome outside. Directly on the edge of the lake, the magnificent view, beautiful beach. Very very small land. Build a fire sitting 1 foot from your car.

yes beautiful beach, clean sanitary facilities, quiet during the week, section of beach for dogs (well done!), free shower but.... our plot was too small and not even level (risk of twisting an ankle) for the price, not even able to install our dinette tent above the camping table. Do not reserve land 62 and following, really small. Our friends were at 174, it was better but the other side of the street facing the lake really too close to each other. And the train that wakes us up in the middle of the night…. We won't go back and don't recommend it either (Blanchet campsite is better). I discussed my land with the owner. He seemed more interested in telling me what he did elsewhere in the campsite than in seeing me satisfied with my stay and my land. No offer of partial refund or other...

Very disappointing we left after 2 nights out of 5. Their games for children are unsafe. See very dangerous and very disappointing. No drinking water on the ground all summer long, even the seasonal workers deplore it. Lot too small. The only positive point is the beach, but the weather still has to be good otherwise with the wind it's atrocious you have to have land down near the seasonal ones to save yourself a little wind. We will not return there unfortunately

For your information: -Direct access to the beach -Friendly staff -Clean sanitary facilities and no charge -Non-potable water -Very little space between each location -Train noise at night -10 dollars to purchase wood for the fire (approximately 10/15 logs) -Be careful of your sleep: a group of campers were talking / laughing / singing so loudly until 1 a.m. (Forced to move): it's not the campsite's fault BUT enforce the curfew for the peace of mind of the campers would be a good idea In short, in my opinion, really expensive, you pay for the sea view
