I think it's cool that it's here and available... But it tries to be a cross between a beach and an Ontario lake... And the compromise is too great. Enjoyed a short hike, and went to take a dip but it got cold in the evening. Water level was low - expect a muddy "beach". And just when you are prepared to ignore the private houses or cottages across the way, and accept that it's more like a backwoods lake where you can swim in nature as opposed to a postcard sandy beach..... someone shows up with a jetski and makes noise pollution. Solo staff member (at the gate) was pleasant and helpful.

Great place to ride Seadoos and all kinds of different boats, it’s great to ride on, at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately though as the season progress and the water levels drop as the flood plane empties and feeds into the grand river. This area can get super shallow. You loose the last month and a half of fall boating and riding 😞

lovely place to be in, Drones are not allowed, and the water is not clear, but u can swim and kayak🛶, boat🚤🛥, and seadoo in it. food allowed you can have a barbecue, and there is a kid's playground and volleyball net. restrooms are bad 👎

Quiet and family friendly place to relax, have a picnic, go boating or fishing. Adult entry fees were $8.5 as of Sep'24.

Seadoos and sailboats in front of the sunset. Decent camping spots nestled in the woods. Below the dam, the river weaves through forested hills. Probably my favourite part - in spring, parts of the shore have water between the trees like a mangrove swamp.
