Very cramped and crowded. Sites have little to no privacy and a lot of campfire stations are only ten feet or so from the next site's. The staff member I encountered while checking in was apathetic and almost rude. We only stayed two nights, but couldn't go to sleep until 11pm the first night due to someone loudly playing a guitar less than 15 feet away from our tent. This was in the radio free zone, which we booked to avoid loud noises in the late evening, but that didn't seem to matter. It was very loud out entire stay. However, the campground does back onto The Georgian Bay where there are places to swim and it is lovely there. Lots of fascinating fossils to look at in the rock and the occasional picnic table to sit at. The waterfront is 100% rock though and slippery, so I would suggest bringing water shoes if you are planning on taking a swim. I stayed there for the convenience and cheap price of $40 per night as opposed to the $300 a night at a hotel and wasn't expecting much. Certainly a great place to be if you are just looking for somewhere to lay your head while you explore the Blue Mountains and Collingwood area. I would suggest checking out the 'Scenic Caves Nature Adventures' for a great hiking experience. So don't come here to experience the great outdoors or have fantastic sleeps, because you will leave disappointed and very tired.

My friend applied for a day pass online to this park which was surprisingly free! We drove here after spending some time at Blue Mountain Village. It was only about 10 minutes away. The clear water views were gorgeous ... but this was not the kind of beach where you could spread out a towel and lie down in the sun. The ground was shale and rocky ... great for skipping stones!! Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy listening to the calming sound of the waves! We did not spend a lot of time here, but it was a beautiful stop to take some pictures! The lake was such a pretty colour with various shades of blue and green and there were also some lovely plants and trees! The Park Ranger we spoke to there was so friendly and helpful! The camping spots seemed a little cramped and there were no real hiking trails right in the park. Still, a wonderful place to visit! 😊👍💗

We got a nice spot one set back from the water..which it turned out was good as the wind whipped in from the water and it was a bit much. Still it was a 30 second stroll to the water. Getting in the water is hard as it's shale rock which is slippery. Water footwear would have been very helpful. Don't expect any sort of privacy, but it helps to block your site with your car a bit.

Very nice small park inches from the water. Highly recommend campsites 1-9. The sites are of good size, very pet friendly and fresh water tap easily accessible. The restrooms are clean, don't smell but are definitely long in the tooth with cobwebs in a few of them. The rocky beach is amazing to sit at and enjoy the sunset and makes this park very relaxing. Park officials are very friendly but enforce the rules strictly: 4 tents per site, 1 car per site, no alcoholic beverages outside the campsite and volume has to be kept to a minimum after 11 pm.

Was a great relaxing stay. Washrooms and showers on West side near area A AND B clean..see video, the washroom near B and C east end of B... was disgusting.. didn't get pic. Water level low enough to walk along rock shore line. Water is freezing ice cold this time of year though. I love the natural walk out step down shore line. Great quick getaway park. Security constantly doing rounds. Really enjoyed our stay.
