This campground offers lakeside campsites, playground, showers, and nice walking paths. Really enjoyed our 2 week stay, we were in campsite 1 which was an amazing site! The trick here is to get a lakeside site and NOT one in the open field which are hot and buggy. Nice walking trails lots of beach space to spread out. Campsites hosts and operator are friendly and helpful. Try for sites: 1-12 or 63-77 (lakeside). Great dog beach.

4.5 stars! This is a very large campsite with over 2km of beach access. Washrooms, dishwashing stations, shower houses, potable water, boat launch, shallow swimming areas for kids, playground, some hiking trails, tent and trailer sites, group sites, historic buildings. For more adventurous people there is a lighthouse that you can climb up and jump off of into the water. Our only warning is wind if you are tenting in the open field. You must put support string/rope and tie them to something or stake them down into the dirt! A lot of wasps. Experienced campers all had screened canopies.

Absolutely beautiful. We camped on site 132. Slightly shady, but we had a camper, so it wasn't really a concern. Spent most of our time at the water anyhow. Very few complaints from me, besides the amount of bees/wasps. Could hardly eat outside at the picnic table. Also, we tied a line to a nearby tree to dry our towels. The line was attached to our camper, and unfortunately, the ants used it as a main highway to move into our camper! So don't recommend tying any lines to trees. Lake water temperature was amazing, the sites were clean, main washrooms/showers were newer and clean. Dish washing station was also super handy. Historical aspects of the park were also wonderful. Free freezies in the manor house for the kiddos. Hike is mostly stairs and recommend going early morning or evening as it's pretty hot during the day, with very little shade. Waterfall is beautiful. Beautiful newish play park for the kids with a covered area. Highlight for us was jumping off the lighthouse into the water. It's probably not the safest thing to do, but everyone was going it and had a blast. All in all, loved it here and hope to be back!

First it would be good to have a separate entry just for the campground, since the campground does not encloses the whole provincial park, but just a part at the beach front. There are three areas. The official campground including washrooms and showers. A group campground with two bigger huts. And an overflow campground with only simple sanitation facilities. State end of July 24, there are no electrified or water accessed slots available. Lots have their own generators, while there are defined hours for their usage. The beach is rather narrow but provides enough space for the residents. It faces east. Hence lot of morning sun, after noon shadow from the trees behind. Showers are for free. Washrooms are clean. Sanidump available but costs 5D per dump (coins needed). This should be included for residents. No laundry. Nice little playground for kids in the back, but not much shadow during the day.

Amazing and beautiful park. Well maintained. Camping site with registration. Day use area. And beach to spend time. Boat launch pad is well maintained and very clean place for camping woth family.
