If you are looking for an adventurous trekking this place have almost every element of it, long distance, steep terrain. Beautiful serene while walking. Trail is perfectly marked. If you are lucky you can see the turtle 🐢 as well. We saw two in the beautiful pond.

We did not know you had to make a reservation before going, so we had to sort that out at the front before getting inside. I wish the process were easier with parks pass users. There was plenty of parking and washroom facilities were fine. The trail itself is gorgeous and well-maintained. Lots of cool bugs you won't commonly see in the city :> the dragonflies are huge at this time of year! Highly recommend going here if you're looking for a relatively short hike. We took the meadow trail and dominion trail for a round-trip of about 6km.

The Ontario provincial park has beautiful trails but several issues. Some trails are closed without clear markers, making it easy to get lost. Maps don't indicate your location. The only viewpoint for a waterfall is closed, washrooms are dirty, and trails are poorly maintained with overgrown grass. Needs better upkeep.

Somehow, I expected more. The area is home to people who it seems would prefer not to share it, and don't like people stomping around in their neighborhood. The park itself wasn't very well-kept, and has little more than a few thunderboxes and an automatic gate for facilities. The best view of the falls is at an underwhelming distance. The terrain is predictably hilly and steep, so this park is not very accessible to those with mobility issues in quite a few places. All of that said, it ~is~ bloody gorgeous in spots. Good birding. Glad I went, likely won't go back.
