Echoing what others have said: the property is magnificent, the facilities comfortable, the owner a charming and helpful individual who wants nothing more than to make your visit perfect. My September camping trip for a special event was a joy. I don't think I've experienced total silence like that in more than 40 years (at times, no sound whatsoever, not even rustling leaves). It was mental therapy to be somewhere so peaceful and restful. The campsites themselves are level and soft because of the generous sand placement, and a variety of sizes accommodate tents from 1-person to 10-person in size. You can enjoy the company of others in the main house or numerous shaded sitting areas, or wander a short distance on the trails to find perfect solitude. A short excursion was organized to take us to a neighbouring maple sugarbush where local syrups and honeys are packed and sold by a pleasant and welcoming couple who were only too happy to answer all questions about maple and honey production. All-in-all a superb vacation experience that I plan to repeat.

I’ve been to Fox Haven a few times and have enjoyed every moment. If you love the outdoors there is no other place quite like it, so peaceful, filled with such beauty with a private lake and many trails for hours of walking and enjoying nature. You can also relax inside with a good book, watch a movie, play board games or cards and chat with other campers. The host is amazing, eager to please, a fantastic cook and makes everyone feel welcome. Going to Fox Haven in October for the fall colors. So anxious to see that masterpiece. Counting off the days.

There is nowhere in Ontario or maybe even in the world quite like Fox Haven Campground. Inviting a mix of different groups and people, Fox Haven and its kind owner are welcoming and make you feel at home right from the start. Who else has a private lake? The facilities get better and better every year. Wildflowers and berries are everywhere and their gardens a young orchard are all wonderful. If you need a walk in nature, there are kms of trails and places to go, or if you'd rather go slowly and see majestic irises, amazing lilies in colours and sizes you don't see other places, and so many other plants. Even a kind of crocus that blooms in the fall! All three seasons have exquisite showings of colour and blooms. The owner wants to make everything just as you'd like and dream about having things, and if it's in his power to do something, he will. He'll literally bend over backwards and forwards to make sure you have a better and more memorable holiday at Fox Haven!

Fox Haven is a place that I've visited for years. It is my home away from home and my comfort place. It is my piece of paradise and where I feel the most relaxed and happy. I go there multiple times a year and wish the time wouldn't end. The place has grown and improved immensely since I first went. The campsites, the buildings, the trails, grounds, and gardens look beautiful. I didn't used to be much of a flower person but have really come to really appreciate and enjoy the colourful gardens and wildflowers all about the place. My sister sometimes comes to stay at Fox Haven when I am there and we both love relaxing at a campfire under the stars, going on a boat ride on the lake, and just enjoying the place together. I have also been amazed by the wildlife at Fox Haven that I've seen while there including moose, beavers, foxes, birds of all types, and colourful butterflies. I also really like cooking especially the BBQs and that there are gardens and fresh herbs to use. There are so many events happening throughout the year here so there is something for just about everyone to enjoy. I know the place will continue to grow and I cannot wait to see it happen. I recommend for everyone to come here and see the place for themselves. We all need to have a home away from home!

I've been to Fox Haven multiple times. Not only is the land stunning, but the owner is so keen on making every visit perfect that I always look forward to coming back. So much is taken into consideration, from interests to the smaller details, such as special accommodations to dietary restrictions. Whatever you may need for a getaway, you will always be taken care of!
