Went up to Fox Lake Lodge for a night and Wayne helped to coordinate a trip down the Spanish river from Sinker Creek to the Elbow (rentals, transport, passes etc). His knowledge of the river and assistance in coordinating all aspects of the trip helped to create life long memories with friends. Additionally, upon arrival we realized we had forgotten our breakfast rations for the trip. We asked Wayne where we could go to grab some, and he very generously gave us some of his own food. Such a great guy. Highly recommend connecting with him for an exciting paddle down the Spanish!

Absolutely amazing place! Owners were so kind and very welcoming. We stayed for 3 nights. Fire stove hot tub was awesome! The views, lake, amenities, activities, just a complete gem of a place... Our family made some fantastic memories and hope to be back to make more. Thanks again Wayne and Monique for having us!

This is a real gem of a place! It is nicely secluded in a place that allows you to forget about the daily stresses of life and enjoy quality time with your friends and/or family while appreciating what Mother Nature has to offer in northern Ontario. Wayne and Monique are absolutely wonderful and make us feel like family. We have seen some great improvements in the cabins over the years and they still have plans to do even more. They are very accommodating and make sure that our stay is enjoyable. We always find great ways to spend our time there. Either on the lake, at the elbow on Spanish River, at the ladders that were used by the loggers many decades ago, or just walking through the trails. We always have and always will look forward to going to Fox Lake Lodge to unwind and recharge.

Let me tell you a story about Spanish River Outfitters/Fox Lake Lodge, and the owner Wayne. A group of 8 of us planned to canoe the Spanish River and rented gear from Fox Lake to do so. We arrived after dark, in pouring rain, we packed our gear into barrels in the rain, we got inadvertently got a flat tire, and we forgot some gear back in Toronto. Wayne did not hesitate to assist. He offered hot coffee, waters, supplemental gear, and even fixed the tire while we were on the river. Wayne is kind, genuine, and turned our difficult start into a small blip compared to the fantastic canoeing on the Spanish River. We saw vultures, bald eagles, hawks, and moose tracks. We camped in areas with beaches, large rock overlooks, and fantastic views. Do not hesitate to use Spanish River Outfitters, you are making a good choice.
