My partner and I spent the long weekend at Gardenside and we really enjoyed our time. Scott and Janet are a lovely couple. Janet showed me a bunch of activities to do around Brentwood Bay and the island - thank you! Their breakfast is also really good - I recommend trying it. Toilets are always clean, and the (hot) shower is exactly what you need when camping, not more than that :) We will come back! Thank you Janet and Scott!

We stayed two nights and were very happy with the campsite. We appreciated that it was tenting only and we didn't have to deal with noisy motor homes. The bathrooms and showers were super clean, the paid breakfast was a delight, and the free coffee was exactly what we needed early in the morning. We also felt the safest at this campsite. Butchart Gardens is about a 25 minute walk and there is a lot of nature to see. It would be nice if there was a little more shade or some trees around the campsites, but that certainly didn't take away from the experience.

A small group of us enjoyed this campground while bicycle touring the island without a car. We were able to walk to Butchart gardens, enjoy casual sunsets off Wallace, and quickly get to Mill Bay ferry. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were very helpful with tips and our special request to rent towels and soap for the showers.

Absolutely perfect little spot if you're looking to visit Victoria and it's surrounding areas. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Bathroom and a hot shower is available. They serve a delicious optional breakfast made with local ingredients, and free coffee is provided. Each spot has a picnic bench. I came without a vehicle, but bus services are a short walk away. Quiet and tranquil. If you're looking for a very affordable place to stay on your adventures, and you don't mind not being a little out of the way, I couldn't recommend a better spot. Will definitely come again.

Went to Victoria with my girlfriend to attend a wedding and decided to stay at Gardenside Acres. Hosts are lovely, very accommodating and understanding. We came back to the campsite late (12:00am-2:00am) each night and were always made welcome the next morning with breakfast. Bathrooms are clean and shower is easy to use and hot. We had breakfast almost everyday which was delicious. Coffee provided was chocolatey and made fresh each day (real milk was provided). Location is something out of a movie (great scenery and super quiet). Hosts provided suggestions on where to go locally and anywhere on the island (they are great problem solvers for scheduling, ferries, reservations etc.). Situated right by the bus stop that has direct access to downtown but other campers brought their own car which can be placed directly next to your tent. Ubers can be called directly from the campsite to anywhere on the island.
