Beautiful lake, good facilities (showers, washrooms, sinks). Foliage is moderately thin around campsites. A few mosquitoes and black flies(?), so you’d need your bug nets/repellants if you hate them (early June ‘22). A lot of hard ground on sites so you might need a hammer if pegging tents/rope. Roads might be mulch-muddy with water filled potholes when it rains. Convenience store nearby. One of the more beautiful and easiest campsites I’ve been to.

A very nice camp site to stay at. There is a small but convenient launch. If that’s part of this campsite beach the water is very clear and nice. The location of the beach provides a lot of protection from the winds in the lake. This lake is known for its “3 o’clock chop” where the waves get very choppie and make most water sports difficult. The water is get deep very quickly. So it’s not the most conducive to younger children. There are large logs that are chained together about 100 feet out. They provide a fun place to play on. You can climb on the logs and run down them. There is also a lot to see under the water for people who are inclined to snorkel. A lot of logs with a ton of Crayfish under them. Overall, I’m very happy with Gordon Bay especially the beach.

We love camping here! Great family friendly facilities, a wonderful beach for swimming, trails for hiking and kayaking. During this Covid time people kept nicely separated on the beach and everyone was very polite. Great playground facility for the kids, lots of places to ride around. There are two shower facilities. We have camped here several times and this year enjoyed bringing our three granddaughters.
