Tips for a Pleasant Stay

  • Be prepared and bring your own potable water, as it's not available on-site.
  • Plan for the convenience of cash, especially for using the on-site canteen which doesn't accept cards.
  • Consider the proximity of campsites which might affect your privacy. A little preparation for wind and sunlight could enhance your comfort.

Visitor Experience

Visitors consistently note the friendliness of the staff and their readiness to help enhance your stay. While the campground offers affordable options, some guests suggest improvements in facilities might be beneficial. The place thrives with activity, especially during weekends, which might limit parking options and crowd the available space.

Beautiful campground and wonderful staff. Pet friendly. Our dog loved it there and even made friends with some seasonal campers dogs! :) Can't wait to come back again for a longer visit. A weekend was not long enough. The views are amazing!

Incredible location on the lake. I really enjoyed our camping spot right on the river, even with the considerably windy weather we had. However, that meant a bit of a longer walk to the restroom. I was not informed that there was no potable water on the site before or when I arrived. It was a surprise before going to bed when I ran out of water and couldn't get more. It would be nice to be informed of this ahead of time or even just upon arrival. A bundle of wood is $9, and a bundle of kindling is around $7. On the whole, I would definitely recommend this campsite! The staff is very accommodating and nice.

Its a nice beach. Kids can enjoy the place. However most parts are private and you have to stay in a small strip. Lake is so busy as many people bring their jetski and boats. I don't think kayaking is possible because of that. Parking is not available except roadside first comes first serves parking. No restrooms available. No changing rooms

The park and beaches are pristine and welcoming, with congenial locals adding to the charm. A cash-only canteen is on-site for convenience. In addition, the staff is not only friendly but also ready to assist. It's a dog-friendly destination that's ideal for children. Truly a delightful locale all round.

I recently visited Princess Porch Campground and had mixed experiences. On the positive side, it's a big campground with a stunning view of Grand Lake. Despite booking last minute, they still had available spots on a busy weekend. However, there were some downsides. The washroom wasn't clean enough. The campsites were close together and lacked sufficient shade, resulting in limited privacy. On the whole, Princess Porch Campground offers affordable options, but improvements in facilities and campsite spacing would enhance the experience.
