Just returned home from year three in a row of Great Canadian Hideaway for myself and 5 of my friends. We loved it so much after our first time that we made it a tradition. We are all in our mid to late 20's. We reserve three campsites (one for each couple). We always come together and have one big fire, cook together, eat together etc. This year was the first year where we were joined by one of our new born babies, as well as an additional friend group who came down with her two children. There was fun for every single one of us, and plenty of shade for the little ones! We have never felt rushed to go to bed. We always manage to stay up late enough to see a sky full of stars with no problems (we were up until about 2am every night with no issues). We love the on-site swimming, the pool, the mini petting zoo, and the fact that we have access to ice and extra firewood without leaving the park. The washrooms are by far the cleanest I have ever experienced at a campsite. By morning, any spider web or bug that managed to sneak in during the night is cleared out and you're waking up to a brand new washroom every morning. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone I speak to. We will continue coming here every year! Thanks for amazing hospitality.

I came across this campsite when I was looking for a place for Canada Day. We went with 2 other families and had sites next to each other. The park is right in the center of the campsites so it’s a great way to camp with kids and give them a little bit of independence. The campsite is clean and well maintained and they had lots of fun activities for the long weekend. Bring change because you will need it for the showers which I wasn’t aware of. The people who own the campground and any other staff member we encountered were absolutely lovely. FYI the fire pits don’t have grates which kind of messed with our dinner plans but we made it work. We had an amazing time and already started planning our next trip back.

This was an okay place to camp. We tent camped here twice. The site was clean and well maintained and I liked how the park was across from the tent sites. I was disappointed that the water slide was down and the lake is just disgusting, you can't swim in it. You have to pay to shower? Never seen that in my life lol I pay almost 50$ a night can't see why that wouldn't cover a couple showers during my stay.... it was okay for what it was. They have a petting zoo and a pool, which was cool. Just disappointed in the price of the site and having to pay for my shower lol pretty cheap of the owners in my opinion. Never seen that in my life.
