About This Campsite

Hardings Point Campground

If you're looking for a campsite that offers a friendly, close-knit community vibe and beautiful natural surroundings, Hardings Point Campground might be the place for you. Situated by the water, this campground provides an appealing getaway for those looking to enjoy the outdoors.

Key Features & Considerations

  • Community Atmosphere: Many campers return year after year, creating a familiar and welcoming environment where everyone tends to know one another. This can be a great choice if you enjoy socializing and being part of a community.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: The campsite features a pool suitable for both children and adults. Additionally, activities like themed events add to the family-friendly appeal.
  • Location & Scenery: Campers often praise its stunning location right on the St. John's River, ideal for those who crave nature and serene views.
  • Facilities: While it provides essential amenities, some guests report that the washroom facilities could use an upgrade, describing them as basic with communal areas for changing.

Important Considerations

  • Nighttime Noise: Reviews suggest that weekends may involve more noise due to social gatherings and late-night activities, which may support a lively atmosphere but might not suit families with young children or those seeking tranquility.
  • Reservation Challenges: There have been some challenges with site assignments and booking transparency which led to inconveniences during some stays.

Overall Thoughts

Hardings Point Campground brings together the charm of community camping with beautiful natural settings. Ideal for campers who enjoy a vibrant and interactive camping environment, it may not be the best fit for those seeking quiet seclusion, especially on weekends when activities and gatherings can become lively. Be prepared for some basic facilities, and it’s a good idea to confirm bookings clearly ahead of your visit for a smoother camping experience.

Great clean and friendly campground. They even organized "Halloween" a couple weekends ago. Most of the campers return every year and it's a everyone knows everyone type atmosphere. Definitely child friendly with a pool for kids and adults alike. Definitely will be returning!

This place is amazing. We called up last minute looking for a campsite with hookups last minute. And got the most amazing site. Right on the St. John’s river. People are very pleasant to talk to and I would recommend coming here.

Have stayed here twice recently. Both times we had spots on Hilltop. The first time was nice and quiet because we were here mid-week. The second time it was a weekend. What a disaster!! We found out too late that people are allowed to blare their music until midnight!! Even after asking them to turn it down, they did not. I called the office but they were no help at all. Even put in a call to the RCMP. Maybe some people like a concert atmosphere whether it is annoying to their neighbors or not, but not our scene. Will not be back and will not recommend to any of our RVing friends. It is apparent that they favor their seasonal campers over those of us that drop in for just a night or two.

Stayed here last August. Beautiful campground, but not meant for families who would like their children to go to sleep before 2am. More intended for people without children who wish to party all night. Very very loud music from regulars by the washrooms, with massive concert speakers. We were quite far from their site (a good 5 min walk), and all the kids in our group couldn’t sleep because of the music. And the adults could barely hold a conversation over the noise. Don’t bother calling the campground, because they won’t answer their phone (probably couldn’t hear it). Tried talking to them the next day, but it fell on deaf ears (probably from the music 😂).

Pluses and minuses: great location, right on water, nature preserve. Good campground if you use your trailer’s own washroom to shower. Washrooms have running water but are really just glorified outhouses. No exterior door on washroom building, 2 shower stalls but only communal change area. Also deposit fee is not applied to yourcamping fee - a bit of a cash grab. They gave us someo e else’s spot which caused a bit of an issue.
