About This Campsite
Welcome to Hartt Island RV Resort
Hartt Island RV Resort offers an exquisite setting for campers looking to experience the beauty of the outdoors while enjoying modern amenities. Located in the City of Fredericton, the resort gives the feel of rural New Brunswick, making it an ideal getaway spot for families and couples alike.
Features and Highlights:
- Scenery & Accessibility: Nestled along a river, the campground is perfect for anglers and small boating enthusiasts. The sunsets and sunrises are particularly breathtaking, ensuring stunning views from riverside lots.
- Amenities: The site boasts a water park, mini putt, and a great biking path that connects to the Cross Canada Trail. Although some reviewers noted that certain playground facilities cater more to older children, the overall amenities cater well to family activities.
- Comfort & Convenience: The site provides garbage collection services, and the internet connection is noted to be as reliable as home WiFi. However, some found the sites to be a bit tight with limited privacy.
- Staff & Facilities: Visitors frequently praised the friendly and accommodating staff. Despite occasional feedback about cleanliness in restrooms, the overall maintenance of the campground was commended.
Tips for Your Stay:
- Consider bringing essentials from home or make a quick trip to nearby shops, as the camp store is limited.
- If you're traveling with young kids, plan additional activities for 1-2-year-olds as the amenities are more suited for slightly older children.
- Pick a riverside lot for the best views, but be mindful of the fire pit locations if you plan on having outdoor gatherings.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, Hartt Island RV Resort offers an inviting camping experience with its array of facilities, friendly staff, and charming location. Though there are minor areas that could improve, such as site space and restroom cleanliness, most guests, both families and couples, find great enjoyment here. With everything in alignment from great fishing access to stunning bike trails, it’s a delightful choice for travelers heading east.

Great spot. Spent a week here, facilities are great not fully Americanized but nearly as good as biggest camp grounds we’ve ever been to. Prices were decent (obviously over priced but expected). River with great fishing easily accessible by foot. And launch small boats easily (didn’t have large boat to put in). Staff was great. Garbage pick up at site was great, unfortunately the coins seem pretty think around there. But for garbage picked up at lot I don’t mind cleaning up after the buggers once or twice. Mini put is dated but children loved it. Water park was great for children 2 and up. Our one year old is pretty bored though. 2, 5, and 7 love it. Barely need to watch them if they have a floatation aid. Views are beautiful! Sunsets and sun rises at either end of river so if you have a river front lot you can enjoy both. Also great biking path that connects to the cross Canada trail! Playground was sufficient for older children. Nothing for 1-2 year olds though. Big covered gazebo for activities if it rained probably could’ve picknicked there as well. Beware though the lots are a little tight with no privacy. And the fire pits for some are not the best as they end up on the edge of a hill and can then only accommodate a couple people around them. Not really a camp store though which was a bummer for the children and I, need to go only a few mins down the road for most essentials though. All in all though i would give it a 4.5 definitely will be back if we are travelling east again!!! Two thumbs up and 4.5 stars!! Thank you to all the staff at Hartt island Rv resort!

What a beautiful, quaint little campground! Lots of amenities on site, still in the City of Fredericton, but feels like you're in rural NB. Staff here are fantastic to deal with, I really enjoy every stay here.

Really fun water park and pool. Change rooms are not private, no first responder discount. Restroom was dirty. Overall probably worth it.

What a beautiful campground; it's one of the nicest I've ever seen. The staff take really good care. It's clean and quiet and the views are wonderful. We enjoyed taking our bikes on the Valley Trail. Signage downtown was the pits, but the trail by the river was superb. Not the campground's fault! This would be a wonderful campground for families. Our group was 3 couples. We plan to stay a full week next year.
