We stayed for a week in June of 2024. It was a very nice campground within walking distance of Alma. Although Alma is a small town, there are a few restaurants and shops to stroll around. We enjoyed watching the difference between the high and low tides. We camped at Headquarters Campground in a Fifth Wheel. Make sure to visit Matthews Head trail. Very easy and very beautiful.

Good campground to be used as a base camp so you can visit the area and do local trails. Bathrooms were clean and in good shape, laundromat also very clean along with campground. My only draw back was the O’Tentik we stayed at. It was very clean but compared to the one we used at Forillion and Terra Nova, we were left at awe how basic that one was. No power not even USB, no silverware or any type of dishware compare to others and a charcoal BBQ which you need to purchase the coals. The others had propane BBQ at no extra cost. My feeling is this is a parks Canada and it should be standard across the board. Positive note, the area is spectacular. Thanks

Absolutely wonderful campground. Upon check-in there was an electrical issue. Maintenance immediately repaired it. Sites were spacious, level, and shaded. Very clean restrooms. Nice laundry. Very friendly and helpful staff. Super quiet. Easy walking distance to Alma with its many great restaurants. Very dog friendly.

Headquarters Campground has a lot of beautiful scenery of the Bay of Fundy and is a short walking distance to Alma from the stairs from the campground. I thing I can say it was very pretty with all the fall colours and falling leaves. I only thing was missing was having your own fire pit on your site. Nice and quiet and would stay again .

This campground has something for everyone. There's tent sites, RV sites, oTENTicks, and Yurts to stay in. There's also communal fire pits, many washroom/shower/laundry facilities, cook shelters, WiFi, and directly connects to the Salmon River trail and a short walk into Alma. We stayed in one of the Yurts. They're much larger on the inside than you would think. They have a table and chairs, a bunk bed set with a double mattress on bottom and twin on top, a futon-style couch/bed, a propane fireplace inside and a charcoal grill outside. Also, they have solar powered lights inside so you can enjoy the space even after dark. The only downside to the Yurts is the walls are pretty thin so you can easily hear neighbours talking inside their yurt next door and the traffic on the road directly below.
