About This Campsite
Welcome to Heartland Campground
Heartland offers a promising camping experience with its gorgeous natural surroundings, large, private sites, and a welcoming atmosphere attributed to a diligent and friendly staff.
Tips for Your Stay
- Site Size and Privacy: The campsites are spacious and provide a good level of privacy, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway.
- Facilities: While the location is praised for its beauty, it's important to be prepared for limited facilities. There may be issues with locked or unavailable toilets and showers, and it's recommended to plan accordingly. Carry long hoses and power cords as hook-ups can be inconsistent.
- Staff and Management: The staff, notably Joanne and Ted, have been acknowledged for their hospitality. However, some reviews note inconsistent management and maintenance issues, hinting at varied experiences.
- Utilities: If you need electrical power, be wary that there could be issues with breaker tripping and weak connections. Bringing your own equipment might be helpful.
- Cleanliness: There have been several complaints about the cleanliness of facilities, so it's advised to come prepared with your own cleaning supplies if this is a concern.
Overall Thoughts
If you're looking for a serene spot with potential for great privacy and natural beauty, Heartland could be a suitable choice. However, be mindful of the mixed reviews regarding facilities and management that might require a bit of personal adaptation for a fully enjoyable experience.

JAXTRAX SAYS..... Honestly, I thought this location would be amazing. Unfortunately the location is amazing, but the host was a driving around drunk loser and the electrician was a meth junkie that really didn't understand volts. Hence why they blew breakers rather than opening a door to their 50°heated fuse panel. Promised one thing. Given another. The regulars that lived there for the last 10 years have dropped the value of the site drastically. I only feel bad for Johanne. Heartland has lost the appeasement.

Campsite didn't have toilets to use, there were portable toilets but they were locked. You also have to pay for the showers, there is trash on the sites and there is no hookup. A staff member gave us a chord but it was too weak for the RV. However, the staff was nice. The guy working there offered us multiple rides which was very kind.

Porta-potties are not cleaned or stocked with toilet paper frequently enough. Even after frequent complaints, no solutions. We left early because of the stink. Bring long hoses and power cords because you're pretty much on your own to figure out water and power. (They provided a long extension cord, but it never had any power during our stay. We plugged into the wash house.) You also have to carry all your trash out with you! No garbage bin at $45/night? We are tourists; we can't leave it on the curb at our house--or should we make dump runs? Communication with owners is not good--never actually saw their faces. $3/shower, but good luck getting them to open it for you. And if you cross the owner, you'll get a rude response. Otherwise, nice enough location. Won't go back. Do not recommend. Too many RV parks in the area to put up with this.

The property is treed and lots are a good size. Showers were very dirty.. had not been cleaned in a while. They are locked and cost 3$ each time. We were told that there was water and hydro. Well, no water at lot.. you have to drive to the bath house with hose extension to fill. The 30 amp we were expecting was an extension cord from the house or shower building.. which kept tripping... not too mention the porta potties were locked and disgusting, only for tenters not for RVs. The young man(John) was very helpful and did his best with what he has to work with. I do not recommend. Park needs alot of work.
