Hilton Falls is one of my go-to spots! The hike to get there is short but super nice, with plenty of greenery along the way. When you finally reach the falls, it’s always stunning. It’s a great place to chill and enjoy nature, there are spots to sit and take it all in. Definitely check it out!

We purchased a ticket at the conservation area at the front gate and he charged $20 for the car. There is a large parking lot. There is a building at the front with washrooms. And a map showing the 4 trails and also bike trails. We did the Hilton falls trail- yellow coded. I like the trails are clearly marked. The falls are about 45 minutes away. The trail is wide and you will encounter an uphill rocky area. Not suited for wheelchairs, strollers or people with mobility issues. The trail gets flat after that but it can be rocky in areas. More suited for mountain bikes which was what we saw. Half way to the falls there is a port-a potty and a bench. The only bench you will see until the falls. The mosquitos were out that day. You will need repellent. There is a beaver lookout. When you reach the falls you will see a pile of wood and some people at a fire pit. It was a nice walk to the falls and some people were climbing on the rocks and getting into the water for pictures. I didn’t get into the water. Looked slippery. Next time I would like to try a different trail.

I have been to Hilton Falls a couple of times. Very nice area and offers plenty of trails to choose from. You can easily get to the falls if you're there for an Instagram hike, or you can do a full loop (11-13km, ~2-3hrs). There are trails for mountain bikers as well. There's plenty of parking, but few spots in the shade. So don't leave water in a car or it will get very hot (ask me how I know). A couple of Washrooms are located along the trail. Also, there are a few spots for BBQ with tables and fireplaces. Entrance is CAD10.5 per adult, and you can purchase a pass at the gate or online. Overall, a nice place, but the main falls can get very busy (see pics)

You need to purchase a ticket online before visiting this place. There's a beautiful lake just a 6-minute walk from the parking area. With the maps available at the park entrance, you can easily find the waterfall, where there's a designated fire pit and firewood available.

Our outing to Hilton Falls Conservation Area in the fall of 2023 was fantastic! The trail walk was lovely, winding through scenic landscapes and offering glimpses of vibrant autumn colors. We were delighted by the charming waterfall, which also had some fascinating historical significance. It was a perfect day for a leisurely stroll in nature, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. This spot is definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of the outdoors while also learning a bit of local history.
