One star review on the basis that this BUSINESS entity has taken it upon themselves to effectively close the lake to public access. While I support the notion of limiting boat and human traffic in the name of ecosystem recovery and fish stock health etc., fisheries and ecosystem management is NOT the role of private enterprise. The MNRF needs to enforce fisheries rules and take measures (e.g. number of concurrent vessels regulations, catch and release or species specific sanctuaries) to allow the lake to recover its ecosystem. The owners of this park and land owners adjacent to the lake are benefitting disproportionately to the detriment of citizens of the rest of Ontario, who, afterall OWN this public resource. Editing this with my response to your response. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my comments. I can appreciate your predicament. Having said that, you are the stakeholder on the lake who controls access or not. And as such are really the only entity that could take this matter up with the MNR and or the Grand River conservation Authority. I understand that this is their jurisdiction and appreciate that you receive no funding from them. You should receive funding from them for purposes of public access to the lake and if they wish to restrict access to the lake they should take responsibility for that and not Slough it off onto you. It only makes you look bad. I will, in the spirit of constructive dialogue revise my rating to reflect that you are aware of this issue and in hopes that you will proactively deal with it. Perhaps once ecosystem concerns are less prevalent, you could consider a pay to Launch option that would cover your liability and costs of operating a ramp. Respectfully Dan.

We camped in this Resort for 2 weeks driving from Alberta. Reasonable rate, clean community and awesome owners and patrons. Definitely would come again

Excellent park, great helpful staff with a laid back casual atmosphere. Yes the lake acess is 100% private but also adds to the peace on the lake and helps the fisheries recover from years of over fishing and abuse from local townies. I for one am glad the lake is closed and has time to recover. Thanks mcclintocks trailer park for doing your part in protecting the lake and its wide range of biodiversity. If i could give no stars i would. I just called to ask some questions to do with this park and the woman was not professional. She cut me off and was straight up rude then hung up after i stated she was being rude. Not very welcoming to someone that WAS interested in staying for a weekend to a week. Due to me asking questions about my boat and if there was access ect. Only seasonals have access to the boat launch/dock which to me is a little off considering if you pay to stay here. If you're a resident of the town you can fill out a request form to use the boat launch but not to paying customers. What a joke this park is.

A hidden gem! Really enjoyed our stay for the 2022 season. The park is quaint and the people are so lovely. A little slice of heaven.
