This is a wonderful park that I have enjoyed on my two holidays in Canada. It has large forest tracts with various trails as well as open spaces and lakes. I never tired of visiting it and walking along varying routes feeling myself in a lovely natural environment. The trails are, in the majority, quite level and easy for anyone to walk along. Sadly, I can only wish I had something like this where I live!

Michel-Chartrand Park is a magic corner in Longueuil. Perfect for nature lovers and inexperienced hikers, this park offers beautiful hiking trails, well-maintained bike paths, and spaces for family picnics. The landscapes range from dense woodlands to open areas, ideal for relaxing. There are several places available in the parking lot. During the winter, it's a popular spot for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The park is also a haven for birdwatching, with a wide variety of species, you also may see some other mammals exploring the area. In my humble opinion, the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while still being close to Montreal.

We biked from Montreal here, I love the 'forest' area, you really do feel like you are biking through the woods when in facts it's an urban space, a huge parc with so much to see, deer, marmots, ducks, and so many birds. Proper bathrooms are available right next to an ice-cream vendor, delicious soft serve. Bring your lunch and have a picnic by the water, great place for a stroll or a jog, highly recommend.
