Nicolston Dam RV Park is a beautiful, well-kept campground. The sites are all grassy, large, and easy to get into with any size trailer. Kids will love this place as it has a beautiful swimming pool, river to fish and kayak in, and great playground equipment. Alliston is nearby and Barrie is less than 30 minutes.

I love this place! They have made so many improvements since we were here a few years ago, it just keeps getting better. Great Wi-Fi, awesome dog park, pool and playgrounds for the kids. The owners are the BEST!

I have been tent camping since the early 80s and recently purchased a pop up as ground sleeping doesn't appeal to me anymore lol. I found this place 2 years ago and I wouldn't go to any other place. 1st, the owners are absolute GEMS. Truly good people. The effort they put in shows through..... I never write reviews but felt I needed to after what I witnessed this weekend. Campers! Be respectful! Watch your kids instead of letting them run rampid while you get drunk off your faces! Listen, I get it... let them be kids and have fun! Unwind! If theyre a little loud, who cares! Its camping! But I saw 2 different camping groups not care about their children and they caused destruction to the property! The swing is now broken, the slide was vandalized and the washrooms were trashed (someone had turned on the showers and sprayed everywhere in all the washrooms) Kids from sites around 55-56 i think (there was a big group of 19) were running through everyone's site and swearing (ages 5-9) One boy from a different site tried to stick up for the campground and faced backlash from this same group of kids. I love this little campground and my heart aches for the owners who try so hard to think of EVERYTHING to provide every camper the best experience. You can really see they love this place. People, just have some bloody respect.

As much as I don’t want to post this in fear of competition with other campers, I simply have to! Likely the largest, cleanest, friendliest and family oriented gem for families with big camping gear and small alike. The Nottawasaga River snakes it’s way through the park and many sites are right in the water. You have to try it out! Close to home, close to amenities and feels like you are away from it all. I’d give them 6 stars if another was available. The website leave a lot to be desired, and they are not the easiest to book with, but when your get in, everything else is like clockwork!
