This spot may be the fullest urban beach experience in Toronto. Fed by the Rouge River whose headwaters extend far north of the borders of Toronto itself, is a lagoon marsh. The quiet waters here make for easy paddling in a kayak or canoe. You can fish here (better look up the regs though). Or just take your steps along the boardwalk. Then you have the river flowing under a pedestrian bridge and rail bridge (check out all the different kinds of trains that often whizz by). The river empties into Lake Ontario and right by the mouth is the sandy beach with its calming views of the water (and fascinating views of the nuclear power plant if you peek east). Sadly swimming is not recommended (and bacteria levels may jump after rainfalls in particular). FYI, Toronto does have other Blue Flag beaches where swimming in the lake is fine. Along the back of the beach is the Waterfront Trail, which will take you far west along Toronto or further east through Pickering and beyond. River, lagoon, lake, beach, trail, boardwalk, bridges, fish and birds, sunlit views... Enjoy!

We spent most of our time at the beach, but they have this beautiful park/marsh that you can explore. Many people were canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Around the area.

I love coming here for bird watching. While still cold, you'll still encounter geese and swans. As it warms up, you'll run into cormorants and even a great blue heron, with plenty of red wings, cardinals, and robins. The beach is a fine spot too, with surprisingly powdery sand, just check for water quality before taking a dip.

This Scarborough Jewel is known as the largest urban park in North Amerlca- a natural oasis so close to busy city life. The spectacular, calm sandy beach is mind-blowing - a scenic walking path along the lake provides the most mesmerizing view. The water front trail is also scenic. People indulge in all sorts of activities - hiking, biking, swimming, relaxed fishing, kayaking, canoeing. This is the place where the Rouge reaches the lakes. In the marshland, there live goose, swans, ducks, turtles, seagulls in the lakes and beaches. Parking is free, but it might be difficult to find during weekends. Washrooms and portables are available throughout. A family-friendly place to spend quality time.

A quiet beach with trail road , suitable for families . It has a nice view of lake . If you love walking , try it
