Tips and Considerations

  • Great scenery with river walkways, but can be noisy due to nearby train and SkyTrain tracks.
  • Popular for family picnics, with a gazebo available.
  • Part of the Brunette-Fraser Greenway and serves as a regional bike path; suitable for biking.
  • Ample street parking available around the neighborhood.
  • Newly built washrooms, though the light sensor may switch off too quickly.
  • The park can be busy during salmon fishing season.

Overall Thoughts:
Sapperton Landing Park offers a serene environment for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. While the proximity to train tracks might be a drawback for some, it's a trade-off for the convenience of accessibility and the charming view of passing trains, especially liked by children. The park is well-equipped for biking and picnics, making it a versatile destination for both quiet reflection and family outings.

I come here almost every day to reflect upon my gambling sessions. Some sessions are positive but most are negative. I keep staring at the water to understand what I'm doing wrong. Sometimes I feel like the otter in the water is laughing at my painful reflections. He's smart he can see it in my eyes. I'll show him, I'm a winner, and when he doesn't see me again he'll know I made it.

Great scenery, good walk ways along the river. A bit noisy from the train and the skytrain, but the small one enjoy watching the trains. Good family picnic gazebo.

Park on Cumberland St and cross E Columbia St to get to the entrance. There is lots of street parking available in this neighborhood. This park is literally part of the Brunette-Fraser Greenway and IS part of a regional bike path. So the review of "NOT a bicycle path" is wrong; it absolutely IS a bike path. There are three parking spots down the roadway. None are handicap accessible.

Quiet place for meditation, picnic, biking … But not during the season of Salmon fishing. Newly built washroom is clean, but the light sensor switched off too soon. It’s a good place to get calm and chill.

Nice little strip of riverfront parkland at the mouth of the Brunette River. Somewhat close to SkyTrain.
