Key Tips and Considerations:

  • The gravel road leading to the site can be rough; an off-road vehicle or a truck with decent clearance is recommended.
  • The lake offers clear waters, ideal for swimming and paddleboarding. Canoes and kayaks are available for rental.
  • Campsites and pit toilets are clean, but be aware that there are no garbage bins—practice 'pack in, pack out'.
  • Motor boats are not allowed on the lake, making it a peaceful spot for quieter water activities.
  • Ensure to bring your own water, as there is none available on-site.
  • While campsites are generally well-maintained, some spots may lack privacy or have features positioned inconveniently close to parking.

Overall, Sayres Lake Recreation Site is cherished for its beauty, peaceful environment, and excellent hospitality. While the journey may challenge some vehicles, those who make it are rewarded with an idyllic camping experience. Great for outdoor enthusiasts looking to escape the bustle and reconnect with nature.

A little of a rough grave road to get there, however, it is totally worth it 👌. The area, the lake, the hospitality, and the amazing views 👏, it is 100 one of my favorite places to camp. I was in the N#15 site camp and it was nice, just I found that the fireplace was just footsteps away from the parking lot and it is a little scary because the fire so is near to the cars, and also may be a little uncomfortable because of the people, getting supplies at all time, not too much privacy in this spot. After all, we had much fun and such a beautiful experience Richard our host was so kind and nice gay.

A little slice of paradise! You'll need an off road vehicle, truck or decent clearance in your car to get here. Well worth it! The lake is clear as can be and the camp sires are pretty nice. Pit toilets were decent. No garbage bins or cans! Pack in, pack out. Bring your paddleboard. 😊

Quiet lake, good swimming, No motor boats. Canoe and kayaks available for rental. Clean campsites and outhouses. Bring your own water. 10kms of gravel road. Might be tough for a big RV.

Sayres Lake is a peaceful and scenic spot, perfect for camping and relaxing. The gravel road made the drive a bit rough, but everything else was great!
