Overview

Selkirk Park Campground is a versatile and activity-rich destination ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. With its strategic location next to Red Lake and proximity to local amenities, it offers both convenience and natural beauty. The campground is known for its accessibility, featuring pull-through sites with water and electricity hookups. Visitors can enjoy numerous on-site facilities such as a large dog park, skate park, and a swimming pool. However, some visitors noted issues like lack of privacy and the cost of amenities.

Key Features

  • Fishing and Walking: Great locations for these activities nearby.
  • Family-Oriented: Ample places for kids to play and various family-friendly activities.

Tips and Considerations

  • Lack of Privacy: The campsites are narrow and offer limited privacy, which could be a concern for some campers.
  • Shared Utilities: Water and electric hookups are shared, which might not suit everyone.

  • Shower Facilities: Campground showers were reportedly disappointing; visitors preferred using the nearby pool's facilities for an additional fee.

Overall Thoughts

Selkirk Park Campground is well-suited for families and those seeking a variety of recreational activities in proximity to their campsite. It provides good value with amenities like a swimming pool and a dog park. However, the lack of privacy and shared utilities might be a drawback for some. Budget-conscious campers might find the nightly rate a bit steep, especially considering the additional costs for better shower facilities.

Paid $24.50 for a night at a pull through site with water & power. Not a lot of privacy though. Usage of dump site is included. Red Lake is next to campground. A big swimming pool minutes away. 10 minutes walk to shops, restaurants & groceries. Will stay here again.

Sites are narrow and long, no privacy what so ever, shared water and electric for most of the sites we saw and ours included. Right next to the busy boat launch. $48 a night is just to much. The close by pool was neat but doesn’t make me ever want to stay at this campsite again. We hoped a city run campground would have better shower facilities but we paid $8 to goto the pool and shower there. Won’t be back
