I enjoyed my time here. Affordable prices all around. Well maintained grounds. The washrooms were clean and didn't smell bad at all. Free showers. I wish the tent sites were serviced, but there is a water/power station within about 50m. I brought a power bank with me and it worked great. Will definitely be going back!

This isn’t a very good RV campground for couples camping that are over 49 years old. It’s in a very beautiful area of St. Catherine’s , Canada. HOWEVER: Upon check in, we were scolded for parking our truck with our trailer at the gate. The man told us “You’re not supposed to park there! You’re supposed to park to the right! Didn’t you read the sign??!!” So my husband moved the truck & trailer. We didn’t see a sign. BUT later we looked and the sign WAS GREEN AND COVERED BY LEAVES!!!!! We had made our 2 night reservation 2 weeks before. We just figured we would be able to check in and DRIVE TO OUR RV SPACE! But no. The owners had to scold us first. After a long trip and to be treated like we’re dumb isn’t at all a welcoming experience. Our space was good at first but our neighbors had a TON OF JUNK AND STUFF all around there trailer. It was CLUTTERED AND THEY WERE LOUD! They never controlled their dog so we constantly had to hear their dog yapping all the time. Then after quiet time the neighbors would start to talk loud outside FOR HOURS!!! The place was packed with a lot of GRUMPY GUESTS. The restrooms were muddy every time I used it. The dump station was higher than your normal dump station . We will never go to Shangri La RV Campgrounds ever again. They do have good playgrounds for small children.

Located in the heart of Wine country. With winery just located within walking distance. You can go and have a couple of glasses of wine and crawl back to your campsite. Or better yet take a drive down the road and pick up a couple of bottle and bring them back to your spacious campsite. Then you can sit around the campfire while you enjoy your new found friends from the campsite next door. Staff are friendly and will even bring the firewood to you. The store at the entrance has the things you may have forgot and soft serve ice cream. Great quiet location to camp close enough to urban areas and many wineries.

One of the worst campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The sites are well laid-out, but small. They have no kids program. The playground is old and unsupervised. I had to take my 5-year-old granddaughter away from the playground..."seasonal" kids (8-10 year-olds) were there swearing and speaking inappropriatlely. They were monopolizing the equipment, but not even using it properly! The pool is so far away from the transient sites! Because of my asthma, I couldn't take the kids to the pool. I can go down the steep hill & the 64 stairs...but there is no way I'm getting up them especially in the summer heat! The dump station is so antiquated that a 10 minute job takes 30! And, every night during the dinner hour is when the "honey wagon" comes to do clean outs! Nothing like the smell of raw sewage to go with your dinner.

I don't understand the negative reviews. We were here about a week and this is the most family friendly campground I've been to. We don't have kids but there are plenty running around on the weekend and they have a ton of activities to go play on. We are full timers and travel all over this continent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating with reasonable requests. There does seem to be a 'resident' section and a 'transient' section that does have less trees. My only issue is the power - voltage sags but we are a big rig hooked to a 30A pedestal probably at the end of the chain.
