Visitor Tips and Important Considerations:
- Accessibility: The site may face challenges regarding accessibility outside normal hours, as some visitors noted closed gates and lack of immediate staff presence.
- Amenities: While the pool and golf course receive positive remarks, other amenities like the showers have been noted to require more regular maintenance and cleanliness oversight.
- Management and Service: Mixed experiences with staff and management, highlighting inconsistent service and booking coordination. It's advisable to double-check reservations and communicate directly with management for service clarity.
- Site Condition: Be prepared for potential camp area maintenance issues such as litter in fire pits, necessitating a personal cleanup before setting up.
Overall Thoughts:
While Sherwood Forest Country Club boasts excellent facilities in some aspects, especially its golf course, those considering camping might want to inquire ahead about the support and site conditions. There's a noticeable contrast between those who visit for the recreational golf activities and those strictly camping. With some attention to service and facility maintenance, the club could better cater to a broader range of visitors.Photos

They were amazing for allowing us to come out to shoot a Grad photo session.

Arrived here at 8:40 pm with a camping reservation, just 1 night with a small tent. The gates were closed, nobody answering the buzzer, nobody answering the phone number on the website. Finally, after 40 minutes, someone who has a seasonal site came by. They called someone who allowed them to let me in; apparently this person was not even there, they were in the city. I found the campsite and there was an abandoned tent thrown in the trees, empty beer cans in the fire pit, and a granola bar on the ground. I've camped at 100s of campgrounds across western Canada, and have never had such a bizarre experience. I would suggest not offering camping unless you're serious about it and actually want people to feel welcome. For $25 and another $12 in reservation fees and taxes, I got nothing in return but a place to park.

Train wreck. There was nobody there to open the gate when I arrived. I called the phone number provided and nobody answered. Finally, a seasonal resident let me in. The campsite was an open chunk of grass, there was an abandoned tent thrown in the trees, and garbage in the fire pit. I slept in the car and left as soon as I woke up. Complete waste of money.

My beautiful wife and I and our dog, were looking for a campground with amenities. We chose to come here to Sherwood Golf and Country Club, just outside Regina. It has pool at $12 per person, no pay no use, showers which havent been cleaned in the whole week we were here dirty Q tips in the shower mats and too much to list. The staff at the front desk with attitudes of them thinking they are better than you. What a mistake that was. Bev the manager of this place, took my wife around in her golf cart after we got put in a site in the back forty away from everything. Because we wanted to be closer to the pool and showers and store. She showed my wife 7 different spots and we decided on the one we wanted. So we moved our trailer there. Bev new and the staff new where we were located, and then Bev shows some else this site a few days later and says we're in the wrong site, when we weren't, she is all about pleasing the customers at the moment to save face.and is more concerned about the money than people. On our second last day here she came to see if we were getting ready to move over one spot as I guess this spot is rented again, and I said we will be out Sunday we found a way better place to stay and she said we'll you have to pay up to stay, which I did the day before. So she made it her priority to come and make sure we were packing up to move with out even checking her computer for the bookings, which shows I paided for one extra night. To quote the two gentlemen in the bathroom while In The shower this place caters to the golfers and can careless about the campers. I would say they his the head of the tee dead on. Would I recommend camping here heck no. It maybe a nice 9 hole course but there are about 6 more courses with 30 mins from here. They have been open since 1975, and we were told by Bev they will be getting laundry in about 2 years from now. My wife and I have camped from Manitoba to the lower mainland British Columbia, and this is the worse place ever.

This place is an absolute hidden gem cool campground, really nice pool I really like the golf course. The food was pretty good at the clubhouse and the service from the staff was outside. Phenomenal really well taken care of golf course. We’ve also been to Wedding’s in the past upstairs in the clubhouse it’s just a great location.
