Beautifully kept campground. View is gorgeous. Owner are very friendly and accommodating. Stayed for 7 days.

Booked 3 sites side by side 4-5 months in advanced. One was a 50amp site and the other two were 30amp sites. When we arrived they had given away the 50amp site to one of their family members and tried to force one of us into a unacceptable site that ended up being moved very quickly. With it being an older park the electrical is horrible and our EMS kept tripping due to low voltage(under 102v) to avoid damage to anything in the trailer. Owners really didn't care about the issue nor were they really apologetic or concerned that they had screwed over a customer that had booked and paid several months earlier just to accommodate their own family that happened to show up before we arrived. The only plus to this place was the closeness to the ferry. Other then that I would avoid it.

Been coming here for many years and will continue to come ! South Bay resort is exactly as the web site says . Lovely rustic housekeeping cabins, with all amenities necessary! Wonderful staff who cater to all your needs, and are always available and helpful to answer any questions about the entire island. The resort is set on a beautiful safe beach with amazing sunsets , and very safe for children including the large play area. Would highly recommended this resort for anyone. Also, minutes from the ferry . We will definitely be coming again! Dean and Terri Curry

Amazing place to stay!!! Staff very friendly and lent us an electric heater free of charge as our propane had run out! Clean, safe, friendly place with wonderful free hot showers! We were parked just a few feet from the water and could fall asleep to the soft lapping of waves. Would highly recommend this campground as the best place to stay on Manitoulin Island and only a few minutes from the ferry to Tobermory!

We stayed for 4 nights in a rental trailer. It was amazing! They provided the linens and all necessities and utensils in the trailer. Staff was helpful and reachable when we needed. Playground was perfect for the kids. Water level was high this year but still amazingly fun. Best place to stay on the island!
