We booked one of the cabins, it has good facilities and their location is located nicely on the lake. They include private bathroom as well. The conservation trails were nice and enjoying to go through..the canoeing was reasonably priced. We loved the time spent there in comparison to other camp cabins we book previously..and not a long drive as well which is a bonus 😀

Amazing place to gather with friends and family. They have lots of benches and barbecue pits. Beach area is pretty small and might get crowded during summer. There are some great spots for fishing. I caught some pike, catfish and sunfish last time I visited. Plenty of car parking space, washrooms are pretty clean most of the time. I also noticed a pet-friendly beach area. Always make sure to check their website before planning anything: https://conservationhamilton.ca/conservation-areas/valens-lake/

We love Valens. It’s so kid friendly and although dogs aren’t allowed on the beach you can have them on the grassy area which means the entire family can go together if you want. We love camping there and going for day trips. Sometimes the water isn’t considered safe for swimming but the beach is still so fun for kids! We will continue to go back year after year!

We stayed for 4 days at tent site 115 was great. We got in after hours and the staff had everything ready for us in a accessible safe such as keycard access and a map of the grounds outside of the office at the main gate, The campground is very clean and maintained lots of privacy as well in our site. The camp store there has everything you’d need in case you forgot such as fire wood and ice and camping supplies as well as a few grocery items like farm eggs and what not. The bathrooms were very clean each time we’ve had to go even in the middle of the night they’re cleaned quite a bit. There is definitely wildlife like Racoons rabbits and squirrels they didn’t bother us unless we left food out which is normal due to them being scavengers Over all it was well worth the drive from Nova Scotia the prices are decent and it’s very well maintained and would definitely stay again.

Nice conservation area, beach is busy on weekends, but not overly. Weekdays are perfect! Boat/kayak rentals on site, a little steep on pricing but lots of water to play around in. Campsites are nice, shady, and mostly private. Clean bathrooms!
