Beautiful, well-kempt park with great scenery and a huge stretch of trails. Great for bikers, hikers, and picnic goers. The washrooms are well-maintained and the entire park is a great experience. Really peaceful in the mornings now that fall is coming and pesty insects are at minimum. Don't think I can emphasize it enough, this is how a park should be kept. Go, Calgary!

This park is beautiful. The trail is easy to walk and you get greeted with beautiful views. Lots of animals here, there are beavers at one of the lakes. During the weekend, it seems popular for families to have picnics here, so don't come if you're hungy! 😆 Huge plus for the bathrooms, they're kept clean and are roomy.

A really special place in Fish Creek. It's a bit quieter than other locations further east (though still busy on a Saturday!). Lots of beautiful trails and a mix of forested areas and open areas.

A wonderful place to waste the day away. You can stick to the paved paths, go off on the manicured trails, or like myself, just go for it and blaze your own. There are so many wonderful spots to take a rest as well, I regularly bring a lunch with me, and I love to find a quiet spot and read a book while munching on a sandwich. There is so much beauty here, it's breathtaking, and the fact that it's right in the middle of the city makes it even more magical. The last time I went, I was ambushed by a deer who came around a bend in the creek just as I did, and we spooked each other good. It was funny as hell. Definitely recommend this part of Fish Creek over the others as the proximity to dense foliage is great and the trees are abundant.

Best place in Calgary for diverse wildlife and especially birding and even better in April when the return of the migratory birds is well on its way but that same group of visitors will be gone by September and a new Wintering bird group will return and/or pass through Calgary. We also have the unusual sightings of animal visitors to our city like the Wolverine I photographed and that was a one in a million experience.
