Key Features and Tips
- Water Quality: The lake features very clear and clean water, perfect for swimming and other water activities.
- Beach and Swimming: The beach has a gentle descent into the water, making it suitable for all ages. However, the sand becomes hard due to the ceased grooming, which may be uncomfortable for sitting or playing.
- Amenities and Activities: There are bathrooms available, a big dock for fishing, and volleyball courts. Shaded areas offer respite from the sun, and the park is relatively clean, with staff seen maintaining it in the mornings.
- Peak Times: The park can get busy quickly, especially during the summer. It's advisable to arrive early to secure a good spot, particularly if you are planning a BBQ or a gathering.
- Boating: If you plan to go boating, be aware of sandbar hazards and ensure you follow the markers. Some areas near the power plant have low depths between 2-3 feet.
- General Cleanliness: While the park is generally clean, visitors should be mindful of trash and make use of the provided waste facilities to maintain the cleanliness.

It was a great experience. Very clear and clean water. Very relaxing place. Washrooms are quite unpleasant but still a great place to relax. We’ll definitely coming back next summer 👏👍🙏

Great place to hang out by lake side. Can get pretty busy as large families gather for BBQ meals. Just have to pick your own secluded spot.

Gets packed pretty fast go early, the lake it’s self is beautiful but the beach is ok sand is ok and if you dig past a foot be prepared for a stench. If you’re planning on boating this lake has lots of sandbar hazards keep an eye for the markers. Some place do not have markers over by the power plant and depths are as low as 2-3 feet. Visited a week ago, I found it pretty dirty as people don’t care about trash or maybe the birds are digging up the garbages who knows. Plan for west shade from the trees. 🙃

Great place. Bathrooms. Big dock to fish off of. Volleyball. Lots of day parking if you get there early. Shaded areas to get out of the sun for a bit. Relatively clean I see staff cleaning in the mornings. They stopped grooming the beach sand so it's rock hard. Not very comfortable to sit/play in though.
