Had a great time here. The owners are very nice and pleasant, the grounds are well maintained, and the regulars all seem really friendly.

Pretty place. Accommodating and helpful staff. (My 2019 review.) 2024 ... this place has gone downhill. Tent sites with electric and water are small and rocky. It was hard to find space to put up our sleeping tent and dining tent and still be a safe distance from the fire pit placed right in the middle of the site. We had our pick of several sites and it was the best one we could find, only to be told we had to move our dining tent because we were still actually taking space from the site beside us. The washroom closest to us was boarded up so we had to walk toward the front of the property to get to the washrooms. It was a long hill back up to our site. The washooms are another issue. "Clean" enough as in toilets and sinks, but crawling (and dangling) with spiders ranging in size from almost the size of my palm (spider had egg sack under it, right beside a child potty seat in the large stall), to tiny ones dropping down from the ceiling and light fixtures. Several were crawling on the walls, door frames and floor. I had to go back to our site, get our broom and sweep out a stall before one of our kids would use it. There was 15 spiders alone in stall 3, it had the best lighting to see them to clean them out. The long light fixture over the toilets had a cover that was full of bugs. That big spider by the potty chair met its end with my shoe. It's probably still sitting squished on the wall as that's where my bravery ended. Although we had been travelling all day, we would not take a shower as the ceiling was open to the rafters with only lattice separating the cobwebs and spiders from potentially dropping on us. Wifi does not reach the tent sites. Since they mentioned the playground, I'll tell you it was a rickety old thing, that no parent would allow their child on. The half moon climbing bars were over taken by trees and overgrowth. We were so disappointed we left the next day despite already paying for 2 nights. It's a shame, I really like to support family run businesses but this business needs some major updates.

I really like this campground. I stayed two nights. I would stay there again if i'm in the area and i would choose it over any of the other campgrounds in the area. I called from an hour away, without reservation, and my call was answered by a friendly hostess. I love the view from this campground. They offer wilderness sites with fire pits and picnic table. They have a dock space across the road that you can jump off into the water. You must like pets to camp here, there are many campers with dogs and there is a site dog and cat. The Owners are on site, and they are nice friendly people. Hot showers are available. You will need loonies. One will get you 10 minutes, which is more than enough time. They also sell ice and firewood bundles. It is minutes to Peggy's cove and tourist attractions and there are restaurants and shops nearby.

I have been here a week so far and absolutely love this spot. Great price and friendly family who owns it. Pretty peaceful with sunset views on their dock. I love the nature this campground holds onto!. Should definitely stop in if you're an outdoors person.
