Weirs Beach RV Resort is a destination that once held great charm and promise for many of its loyal visitors. Nestled in a beautiful location, it used to be renowned for its friendly staff and well-maintained grounds, making it a coveted spot for long stays and family gatherings. However, recent experiences indicate significant changes that have affected the resort's reputation.
Important Considerations:
- Customer Service: Recent reviews highlight a decline in customer service quality. There are reports of poor managerial attitude and discriminatory practices, particularly towards disabled individuals.
- Booking Issues: It's important to double-check reservations as there have been cases of double-booking and moved reservations, causing inconvenience to guests.
- Rate Changes: Be prepared for potential rate changes upon arrival, as the resort's policy states that "All rates are subject to change without notice." This has led to overcharging in some instances.
- Facility Conditions: The physical upkeep of the resort appears to be in decline. Guests have noted the need for maintenance, including painting and general repairs.
- Limited Amenities: The resort offers limited bathroom facilities with only one shower and toilet for each gender, not accessible after 8pm as they are considered part of the family residence.
On the positive side, the location itself is still seen as a beautiful spot, but the quality of the experience may vary greatly depending on recent management and maintenance issues.
Overall Thoughts: While Weirs Beach RV Resort was once a cherished getaway, it currently faces several challenges that potential visitors should be aware of. If you value a streamlined reservation process, consistent rates, and good customer service, you might want to consider alternative options. For those who prioritize location and scenic beauty, it might still hold some appeal, provided you manage expectations accordingly.

Reading these reviews breaks my heart! 12 years ago we found this little gem by accident! I had just had breast cancer and we thought wow let’s start spending winters here instead of Arizona - and be able to visit our little grandson nearby., It was so beautiful and run like a real resort. Staff was so friendly and every year we would meet friends we made there who kept coming back like us. Then Covid hit and we didn’t get there for 3 years. Then we heard from our friends - no don’t go back . None of them were going anymore and the permanents that we knew there left. Rates went up and upkeep went down! So sad! Such a beautiful place, such good views, so many good memories and friends. It’s a total shame! Miss Jim & Shane & Gerry - staff members! And then Johann & Julia who came after. So too bad!

They double book and forget reservations and move people around to try and fix it. It's the talk of the entire campground so it wasn't just us. Groups all split up. Nonsense... They put me in a parking lot for 3 dsys and then couldn't move me to the site they promised when it came time. Never again.

I have never seen a campsite where rvs r packed in like sardines, they charge $100per night and only have one shower n toilet for women and one for men BUT they ask u not use after 8pm as it's part of the family residence!! Beautiful location

We were booked at a rate of $79 p/n but charged $119 because as their online says, “All rates are subject to change without notice”. We were overcharged for our stay which never would have happened under the previous ownership!! These people who have been here over the past few years are neither forthcoming with their actual fees and lack in clear verbal or written correspondence. We are sad as this was our favourite place to go for the previous 10 years. This change is pricing without notice was the final straw!

Needs some attention, paint and trim would do the building wonders. But let's not base a book on its cover alone, the gentleman at the front desk is not very polite or helpful, I had planned on bringing my travel trailer here for several months. However we have been constantly harassed by the aforementioned manager, we were told thsy we couldn't keep our sunshelter in place, yet there are plenty of others set up at various sites throughout the park. As well as with my disabilities, I am in need of a ramp to enter my trailer. Again several others in the park yet once again I was told to remove it. discrimination for disabled people at every turn.
