The staff were friendly and helpful when I called with questions beforehand. Most of the sites are in an open field, but our unserviced tent site by the cabins had lots of shade. The bathrooms were maintained throughout the day and the showers were always clean. So many things to do for kids, and the pool was quite clean for the most used amenity of the grounds! The staff were always present and prompt and willing to help, even the understaffed canteen was on top of their customer service and serving out hot pancakes and the best milkshake I’ve ever had. We will be back!

We stayed at this Campground, my kid hit his leg with an axe. The staff were amazing through the ordeal. The staff were all nice, making you feel like a family. Front office, ground maintenance personnel and customer service personnel were all equally professional and light hearted . Grounds were clean and entertaining. Very happy I stayed there and WAY TO GO to all on the Campground staff.

Spent the Canada Day long weekend at Yogi Bear and had an absolutely amazing time. Our two girls, 6 and 2, loved the campground. Between all the amenities and the activities that the park has scheduled daily, there always seems to be something to do. The pool was great, the playgrounds are well maintained and have something for all ages, and the arcade/Rec Hall offered a great place to hang out when the rain eventually showed up. We had such an awesome time that we booked our next stay before we even left.

First time with grand kids, with tent. Awesome place kept clean never saw washroom without toilet paper. Will go back. Only negative are kids running around the whole place after quiet time,small children needing sleep. Great entertainment loved the light show . Great that pool is heated....food a bit on pricy side

If you plan on taking your dog to the so called pet friendly campground yogi bear and you’re a single parent expect to be limited to your campsite… If I wanted to take my kids to the pool I was advised to leave my dog at the campsite leased up..(there’s also been a heatwave warning the last few days) the campground also states you are not allowed to leave dog unattended at campsite??? I was informed this morning there’s a VERY small circle dog run that’s not in view of the pool I could bring my dog, but not leave unattended, and the walls short enough my dog could jump over it. Anyway here’s my “Karen rant for the day” I was sitting under the only shady section by the pool while Stella (my dog) slept beside me.. a worker came to me and told me dog was not to be in pool area (fair enough I understand) I explained I’m watching my kids in a single mom and as there’s no lifeguard and it’s required to have a parent in the pool area to watch the kids … he said fine as long as she doesn’t go in or near the pool.. great..I’m perfectly fine with that, then shortly after another two workers approached me and rudely said I needed to get out of the pool area.. he was not as understanding … so I had to pack the kids up and leave the pool.. the campsite is listed as pet friendly, so fair enough the dog isn’t allowed in the fenced pool area.. that being said outside the fence there is absolutely no shade I was asked not to leash the dog to the fence, there was no other location for me to leash the dog.. so my dilemma is, can’t leave dog unattended at campsite..can’t bring dog to pool area, can’t leash dog to fence area, but I must be in the pool area with my children if they are under the age of 14 (which they are 8/7) next day .. I take kids to park.. I was just standing there holding my dogs leash watching my two kids and a 3 year old, it’s a huge area and I was kicked out because I had Stella.. no dogs in this area allowed he rudely advised there are two signs posted on trees that says no dogs .. I didn’t see them it was an honest mistake but again that being said, there were no pet friendly location I could leash my dog close to the park while I also supervise my children, I was suppose to go to the road way and watch from there… so I could not partake or enjoy watching my kids play snd be close by as there was a 3 year old and also keep an eye on my pup.. i was approached and talked to about 4 times in different areas on the campground that I could not be with my dog.. the issue I have is that there are no dog friendly areas to tie the dogs up with shade so parents can actually enjoy the activities. I spoke with many other campers who were there with dogs and in and out of the same areas and was advised they weren’t spoken to once. When I went to speak with a supervisor of the campground I was informed by the older woman at the front well she’s a supervisor of sorts and said I could tell her my complaint .. she was less then empathetic and helpful. Now this has been the second time I stayed here and the first time was great, had a lot of fun.. but this time was awful and I was very limited on what I could do, when looking into campgrounds in the future I will be ensuring pet friendly is truly pet friendly. Disappointed, as a single mother this whole mini vacation has been exhausting, with the planning, setting up, everything involved in preparing for camping with two young children. First camping trip for the summer 0 Exhausted mom 1 I know there’s going to be people that disagree with me and that’s fine .. say that well that’s what you get for bringing a dog, there’s rules .. my issue is, it’s not pet and family friendly .. it’s either family friendly OR Pet friendly .. had I went with friends and no kids, wouldn’t have been an issue.. but I had my children and I missed out on a lot of swim time with them and park time with them.
